For my money I would be looking at Khorns. You would be amazed what a pair of those would do. They take very little power and because they are not super low impedance they will not stress even a modestly powered receiver or integrated amp. If you can arrange a home audition of a pair of those you might well find your end game speaker there. I knew a guy that had a pair that he drove to earsplitting levels on 60 wpc. You can only imagine what kind of SPL was possible when he upgraded the amp to the H-K Citation 16. At anything like sane listening levels, a 20 watt amp would be plenty.
Seeking horn array loudspeakers with a maximum price of $17,500.00 per pair.
My system consists of the following:
- Focal 938 loudspeaker
- Bryston $B3 cubed power amplifier
- Rogue Audio RP-1 preamp
- Weiss DAC 204 DAC with Modwright Power supply
- Lumin U2-mini with S Booster power supply
- Seeking horn loud speaker that sounds rich, full bodied and dynamic at 50-55 decibel levels.
- Thanks.
