Would You Rather Own A Good SET Amp, Or A Great Push Pull Amp?
I do love to romanticize about a sweet 300B, 2A3, or 845 amp, and I keep saying I'll end up with one.....but we'll see. I love my Aric Audio "Push Pull" EL34 amp, and will die with it. For years I've have a Bob Latino Tubes4hifi ST-120 amp that c...
Suggestions for a holographic preamp?
larsman Congrats on the Super 6SN7 preamp.....I'd love to hear your experience when you have some time on it. I own Aric's Motherlode XL and Transcend "Push Pull" EL34 (with several upgrades including tubes), and those are end game for me. I will...

"I Trust My Ears"

nogaps Thanks for the correction, I was bouncing back and forth between the Linkwitz site and Madisound....and forgot to correct my brain. The link was great thank you, though I have NO wood working skills and would have to get the best flat pack...
Fyne Audio Vintage Classic Gold SP….beat dealer?
Resolution Audio carries Fyne, and some dealers will give a decent discount if they don't have to take delivery of the speakers and just have them drop shipped to you. Do some research on who carries Fyne, and reach out to them all......you usuall...
DIY Speaker Kits, a good idea?
KennyC If I had the guts to attempt it, my number one choice would be the Linkwitz LX521, and this looks to be a complete kit with the wood flat pack for $5,350 https://linkwitz.store/product/lx521-kit/ The completed speakers are $16,500, so if ...

Tube DAC with i2s input?
Seems we have this debate every week. Different streamers and DACs are often optimized for different inputs and outputs, it depends on where the money is spent. I2S and DDCs do a great job of improving the sound of "affordable" DACs and streamers....
