S/PDIF coax to BNC
Hi there
I have a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 streamer and a Chord Dave DAC. I have them connected by toslink but the CXN toslink output is only till 96Khz.
Cambridge audio does have the S/PDIF coax output but the Chord only has the BNC coax input. What is the recommended way to deal with this? I see amazon has some BNC to coax connectors but I don't know if they involve a loss in quality.
Thanks a lot @blisshifi: I'll follow the route you suggest.

@deone Many cable manufacturers can build RCA Coax to BNC without the use of an adapter. I am a dealer for DH Labs and Cambridge Audio, and I know the DH Labs D-750 is one example of a cable that can be built to this configuration. I'm sure there are other manufacturers that do the same. With digital cables, I highly suggest not using adapters as any voltage and impedance fluctuations can alter the quality of the signal and sound while also being a point of entry for noise and jitter. |
I have an m-scaler to convert USB to BNC. Before I got the m-scaler I used USB. The USB on the DAVE is excellent. I don't know about eh CNX but it isn't really in the same class as the DAVE anyway so you might consider upgrading. to make sure I tell the whole story, I've bought a Grimm streamer and a Lampizator DAC and will be getting rid of DAVE and M-scaler.
