please help an audiophile's widow

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me what a comparable speaker would be to a Paradigm B3TWHF-TIM-030 Someone blew up my deceased husband's system and I think this is what I need. I desperately miss the sound! Thank you!

Hi Guys,

I'm very happy to report that I found what I'm looking for on the Canuck's site. It is being shipped to me tomorrow. Thank you for everyone's help. Hopefully the Conrad Johnson amp was not effected. If it has been I will be back for some recommendations. All the best!     Neva

Looks like a tweeter from the Paradigm S8 which came in 3 model upgrades, v3 was the better tweeter.

You might try eBay for the exact tweeter or maybe one that would be a close match. You also could buy the complete speaker too.

Hi Dill,

I went to the link you sent me and I'm not able to buy the tweeter. Perhaps it's because I live in a rural address.  Are you familiar with any other audio websites I could purchase this part from? Is there another comparable Centre channel that sounds as good? I can't listen to average sound after listening to the best since 2008....Thanks again for your help..

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. The other two speakers in the speaker cabinet are good. I just need the tweeter. The one I need is a tweeter for a Paradigm B3TWHF-TIM-030. I have found one that ends with 020 but I'm not sure if that one is any good. The Paradigm box I have is a CC-350. Thank you for your help!

@bruce11 First and foremost, sorry for your loss!

In response to your question, when you say, "Someone blew up my deceased husband's system", do you mean the tweeters were blown out?  The information you provided is the model number for the tweeter used in the Paradigm Monitor 9; probably the model 2 version.  Did you have BOTH speakers tested by a qualified professional?  If so, that person ought to be able to repair the speakers with the proper parts at a reasonable price.  I owned a pair of Paradigm Monitor 9 originals (i.e.  first version) for over a decade.  With proper amplification, those are fantastic speakers!  In order to replicate or get that quality of sound, these days, you'll have to spend somewhere around $2,500 and up, new.  I would recommend contacting Paradigm and asking for an approved repair person(s).

Good luck!

The best way to reach Paradigm is at: support@Paradigm.com

They will get back to you fairly quickly to answer any questions you may have,

sorry for your loss of your husband and the speaker. Do you have a picture you can post? That would be a big help.

Firstly I am sorry for your loss not only of your spouse, also for the music that brings you comfort.

maybe reach out directly to paradigm directly for guidance. In my experience with them back in the day they were very responsive.

@erik_squires Looks like the 3 trailing numbers are for the same tweeter/driver, but different waveguides for different model speakers.

See if the Paradigm speaker model (not the tweeter, but the whole speaker model) is listed @ the bottom of the following (linked) page.

If it is then the tweeter listed should be a suitable replacement mounted to the existing tweeters faceplate.

Is that a whole speaker, or a driver?  If it's a driver you can often find them on ebay.  Google is your friend.
