Is that a whole speaker, or a driver? If it's a driver you can often find them on ebay. Google is your friend.
See if the Paradigm speaker model (not the tweeter, but the whole speaker model) is listed @ the bottom of the following (linked) page. If it is then the tweeter listed should be a suitable replacement mounted to the existing tweeters faceplate. https://www.parts-express.com/Peerless-D27TG-35-06-1-Silk-Dome-Tweeter-264-1022?quantity=1

@erik_squires Looks like the 3 trailing numbers are for the same tweeter/driver, but different waveguides for different model speakers.

@bruce11 First and foremost, sorry for your loss! In response to your question, when you say, "Someone blew up my deceased husband's system", do you mean the tweeters were blown out? The information you provided is the model number for the tweeter used in the Paradigm Monitor 9; probably the model 2 version. Did you have BOTH speakers tested by a qualified professional? If so, that person ought to be able to repair the speakers with the proper parts at a reasonable price. I owned a pair of Paradigm Monitor 9 originals (i.e. first version) for over a decade. With proper amplification, those are fantastic speakers! In order to replicate or get that quality of sound, these days, you'll have to spend somewhere around $2,500 and up, new. I would recommend contacting Paradigm and asking for an approved repair person(s). Good luck! |
Hi, |
Hi Dill, I went to the link you sent me and I'm not able to buy the tweeter. Perhaps it's because I live in a rural address. Are you familiar with any other audio websites I could purchase this part from? Is there another comparable Centre channel that sounds as good? I can't listen to average sound after listening to the best since 2008....Thanks again for your help.. |
