There's a speaker at the show called MURAUDIO. Its a 360 degree point source, omni-directional electrostatic loudspeaker. Here's how they look. http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/68/6f/ed/686fed18512eee42f0bd4a4e76758b9a.jpg |
Newton, Not too sure what 2nd or 3rd tier manufacturers are? If you are referring to smaller sized manufacturers struggling for name brand recognition, it has been my experience that this is where many of the breakthroughs in design and equipment performance are initially introduced. I am sure of one thing and that is every audio company has crossed those lower “tiers” at one time in their history. I’m going for the education, listening experiences, as one can never get enough of those, and finally purchase more music! Not too often one gets to rub elbows with the larger vinyl distributors and I am sure they will be running sales or are always open to dealing so you can save money or purchase even more music. NYC and an audio show is my kind of weekend. See you there, |
LampizatOr will be exhibiting in two rooms at this upcoming show. In room 383 we will be showing our new Big 7 DAC, TranspOrt, GM-70 mono blocks and debuting our new Head DAC! Also present will be Mosaic Acoustics debuting their breath taking Lux speakers and Wavebridge Power conditioner as well as cabling, and with mechanical grounding shelves provided by Star Sound Audio. In room 373 we will be showing our Big 7 along with a Level 4 DAC as we partner with our friends of Gingko Audio, Wells Audio and Danacables. |
After years of traveling to audio shows, initially as a retail dealer and now a consumer hobbyist, there is one major difference that the NY City marketplace brings to the gambit and that is the public comes to buy and the vendors, many being local audio storefront dealers, are definitely there to cut Deals! EBM, I do not understand your commentary. You obviously were not in attendance at the initial Rocky Mountain Show where the floors were absolutely void of humanity or lived through the length of time it took privately promoted audio shows to recover after CES moved from Chicago to Las Vegas. There were years of emptiness. I am from the camp where all audio shows are worth attending no matter how small or large. This show is what, a couple years old? Soon it will spark the interest of many manufacturers simply because NYC is a substantial buyers market for high end audio. If an audio show comes to a neighborhood near you – attend it! It can be the difference in making your next purchase a wiser decision allowing you to put more “bird” on the table. See you there! |
Here's the list of exhibitors at the show. http://www.chestergroup.org/newyorkaudioshow/2014/brands |
I got word that Triode Wire Labs will be teaming up with Volti Audio (http://www.voltiaudio.com) and Raven Audio (http://www.ravenaudio.com) for this upcoming NY Audio Show in Brooklyn. They will be in room 349. I have no affiliation with any of these companies but I have met Pete from Triode Wire Labs and he is a real nice guy. |
To the OP and others, sorry for derailing this thread. Please, go to, support and enjoy the show. Regional audio shows are becoming one of the very few ways to hear/audition gear that many would never get the chance to. I heard the Spatial speakers at Axpona this year. For what they cost they are pretty good. The imaging was a little low to the floor IMO. That may be able to be fixed with more tilt back of the speaker or listening a little farther back than in that small hotel room. They are certainly worth an audition for those looking in that price range. |
You are again wrong. Many of your derogatory and insulting posts are made on your very first post in a thread, and not in response to anyone else. Your distorted view of your own self importance is hilarious. I don't go back and read your old posts. I have no intention of wasting my time that way. However, I do read the forums on a daily basis and will continue to do so. I will also post when, where, and how I feel like it. Get over yourself. |
By your responses, you once again show that you have more money than brains. Of course, based on your writing and reading ability, a nickel should cover that. Elitist and boorish snobs are exactly what is wrong with high end audio. Congratulations on your ability to turn others away. You can continue to be the king of the dumb one line post. Run turkey run. Enjoy the show. |
