Here we go again. Some people tried, like a few, not dozens so there is a lack of experiential feedback.

I have Hemingway’s latest entry level Z-core Alpha power cord and speaker cables. These cables sound like no other cables I have owned (Synergistic Research, Purist Audio, Tara Labs, Transparent Audio,Triode Wire Labs, and several others). So much energy to the sound without undesirable artifacts, harshness, thin-ness, bloat, or glare.

The review the OP linked in his opening post accurately describes their sound.

I see some teamwork happening here. Pump that product, and caveat emptor to all the rest.

Thank You for sharing this important information. I like the Philosophy behind the designer/engineer.

+1 @hilde.

Or maybe I should cancel the family vacation for a few years and upgrade all my power cords.

Your Power Cables has the biggest improvements in sound quality by far than any other cables in your system period .

@hilde45 - If you are including me in your teamwork snark, sorry to disappoint you . I read the review from the above link and the WBF comments ,and have an interest in seeing if I can demo the cable. Nothing lost by doing so, and possibly a better SQ realization in my system

Ditto here too. Never heard of OP (or anyone else posting here) before I answered this thread. I bought my entry level Hemingway PC at retail from an authorized dealer and the speaker cables used from a fellow Audiogoner.

Man ...some of these posts are getting as bad as the snarking on CNN and Fox News casts......it is a great hobby have some fun. Now relative to the OP's post , I recently purchased a used Hemingway Creation power cord from an established and very well respected Audiogon member here who really enjoyed Hemingway cables. So I purchased the Hemingway Creation power cord from him and placed it in my system. I will say that in my system and will say that once again , that in my system the Hemingway Creation power cord had an immediate presence. A presence that seemed to be an addition or to an added extent an '' energy '' or '' sizzle '' to the sound. I was not prepared for this effect if you will. It was like to the treble got an added jolt of energy and what I thought was very odd was that the drummer's foot pedal / bass drum sound was front an center and very prominent which is not the usual case even in live music. I am not saying that it was bad thing but there is definite something going on with these cables in the way they are made and the materials used. I sold my HC cable to another Audigoner here who is using it in his all tube system as my system is all solid state Accuphase and absolutely loves it ! I personally did not understand or like that proposed excess energy that the Hemingway added to my systems sound. It is however and just my 2 cents a company and cable worth looking into. Stay well and safe these days …...

You implied that a few of us were in collusion by our comments showing interest

$$ power cables have no value, other than nice look / flexibility / Dr feel-good. All high end equipment I am aware of, supplied with the same pwr cables as used in the performance tests. I would love to hear about “blind test” results between $1000 and $5 power cables! Typical house wiring uses tiny wires, having x100 resistance than any power cables of hifi components.

If high freq power noise bothers you, you need LPF or power conditioner. Easy way to fix is to add filter clamp to your cable.

@westcoastaudiophile  What equipment do you have and what non-stock power cables you have tried with it that led you to the formulation of your definitive statement of them having no value?

@facten I am design engineer, and my job is to actually measure components including all cables etc to make sure performance spec is satisfied. As I see typical power cable resistance is about 3 mOhms, expensive one is 2 mOhms, including wall outlet and device connector. Some very good quality components have power cable attached, which does not make them less hifi.

Information about “blind test” results, where expensive power cable superiority confirmed vs stock cable would be welcome.

@westcoastaudiophile - You can borrow cables from the Cable Co., or borrow one or more from someone you may know and conduct your own tests. You didn't respond with details about your equipment, but maybe use the Audiogon virtual  system search and find members who may have a similiar amp, DAC, transport, streamer , whatever and determine what power cables they are using that you can then trial and compare results with.  No better way to determine if you will or won’t hear an SQ difference - good or bad- in your system than a hands on trial. No worries then about if others simply reported perceived purchase bias, no worries then about your pre-judged measurement bias clouding the issue , no worries about taking someone else’s blind test claim for granted etc. Your can put yourself in a position to make your own objective determination, and then you can make a definitive statement of the results in your system. Personal trial, highly recommended!

Are you kidding me? 10k plus for a power cord. Unless you have specific power requirements and a dedicated circuit panel, it just doesn’t make sense to me.
I know some of you probably have systems that could justify that kind of expense and I kinda envy you. I know that I wouldn’t spend that on a power cord. Just my opinion, no offense.

Alas I will never know. I asked my wife if I could put a $18,000.00 power cord on my $8000.00 amp and she asked some very good questions and then said NFW!

Did you add these PC(s) to your system? Hemingway Audio is now represented by Highend By Oz- Norwalk, CT.
