Need a smaller, efficient floorstander

I've owned quite a few larger floor standing speaker systems and would like to buy a smaller, efficient, yet reference quality speaker system to be driven by medium powered tube amps. Any suggestions?

There is a pair of deadalus athenas on here that have recently been update—really fantastic high efficiency speaker with a small footprint
Merlin?
I used to be in the biz, and would visit Joule Electra. Judd usually shared a room with Bobby. One day Judd asked me what I thought, and I told him I was not impressed. Judd said, a lot of people say that

Now, I am a open-baffle fan. I’ve owned a lot of speakers both box and 3 different open baffle designs, whose sound stages are magical; Accoustat 2 + 2s, Magnepans, and for the last 2+ years Emerald Physics, which play everything really well

There is a pair of EP 2.7s at a crazy good price in the Agon classifieds

I strongly recommend the Diapason Adamantes original
or the Adamantes III.This are beautiful and musical.
Ucmgr,

I would suggest you listen to Coincident Partial Eclispe II. They are small floorstanders with a lot of punch for their size and I really like the highs coming from the Revelator tweeters. I ran them with a Cary SLI-80 and was very happy.

carolinaaudio.com sells a floor standing version using a Jordan single driver. No crossover to absorb power.
Look at the Castle Conway, it is being sold for $1000 (50% off) by Audio Advisor. It is good looking and highly reviewed. Stan
Source Technology 8.2DX --- its 36 x 9 x 11 excellent fit n' finish and it sounds glorious -- I purchased it over the Von Schweikert VR2 - you didn't give a price range - its $2500. The speaker is so new the picture and specs are not on their website. I bought mine from the Source dealer in FL .........LouFink@bellsouth.net (954-648-2118)
Lou is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable about audio. Carries other speaker lines as well.
Best of Luck
Living Voice. 94 db. 3 models, including the OBX-R which has impressed a lot of people. Small footprint, though the OBX-R has outboard crossovers.
The Merlin VSM is a stunning loudspeaker that can be easily driven by most medium-powered tube amps, and it seems to especially like OTL's. Nope, I'm not a Merlin dealer - just an admirer.
