It ought to be for that price!
@dolfan - I’m currently considering a new USB cable to use with an Innuos reclocker. Could you share a bit more about your impressions of the Mad Scientist Prime USB cable? What were the areas of improvement in your system compared to the other cables you mentioned? |
Haven’t tried the Mad Scientist USB but just completed a comparison of several USB cables against my current AQ Diamond - Nordost Tyr 2, Audience FrontRow, Stealth. I used each cable for a period of 48-72hrs to make certain everything including my ears had settled. I read a lot of good things about the Mad Scientist cable but decided to plsynit safe and not risk it with the Mad Scientist given its price and pain of shipping it back in the event it doesn’t gel here. Enjoy your new cable! @bluethinker put Stealth on your list. |
@audphile1 - Thanks for your recommendation on the Stealth USB. I'd made a mental note, from an older forum post, that you impressed with the Front Row USB cable. I'll do more research on the Stealth cable. It looks like they are made in the USA, correct? |
@bluethinker yes Stealth is made in MD. |

I just bought the latest Stealth Tunable usb and it does take roughly 10 days to runin playing 24-7/ this type of magnetic ferrite color you slide it up or down give you more fine tuning ,need more Bass slide the color up ,I do an inch at a time since I bought new interconnects , and maybe speaker cables , new vacuum tubes patience is a virtue , myself still sometimes lacking , Stealth Latest tunable retail around $1950 8 bought a demo for $600 less , this is the middle model the top one has 2 tuning modules and internally a bit different. Surguei does not say much regarding his cables build quality , but makes a very good product.
