Krell 350 MCX Coupling Cap Jumpers

Just picked up Krell 350 MCX amplifiers, Using tube preamp is Against its Basic design But krell includes Coupling caps just in case you have a tube preamp

Someone know exact location of the Jumpers?

Appreciate

The red circles are the two coupling film capacitors, next to them are the jumpers (green circles). Removing the black plastic jumpers will activate the coupling caps.

You shouldn't even need to use those if your preamp is working properly and you turn your system on in the proper sequence.

@invalid It’s a good precaution as the coupling caps on tube preamps DO go bad and leak. If the amp is otherwise DC coupled, even a few volts of leak (say 10v leak on a 400V preamp ) could be catastrophic.

This is the first time I heard of restrictions using a SS amp with a tube preamp, is this specific to Krell?

Designer's decision! He didn't want the leaky coupling caps in a tube preamp (some vintage/boutique PIO caps tend to leak) damaging downstream components.
