Voltage conversion of Accuphase E-5000
Converting Accuphase amps from 100v to 120v is not straightforward as the above discussion illustrates. You can never be sure that it was done correctly or to Accuphase standards ("you can use a 680Ω 3W resistor to replace fuse F1"). The above di...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase C-2300 to from 100V to 120V
@foolishman  Good to know that the C2300 voltage conversion was completed successfully. Regarding the A-48S, it appears that 716-1374-00 is the voltage selection board, 716-1304-01 is the soft start resistor selection board, and 716-0962-01 is ...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase C-2300 to from 100V to 120V
To measure the DC resistance of the transformer primary winding, plug the transformer wires into sockets K1 and K2 and remove the jumpers (J2, J5) before measuring.
Voltage conversion of Accuphase C-2300 to from 100V to 120V
Thanks, I believe moving J1 and J4 to the J2 and J5 positions should convert the voltage from 100VAC to 120VAC. However, measuring the corresponding transformer wire DC resistance to confirm if my assumption is correct, the 100V tap should have t...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase C-2300 to from 100V to 120V
@foolishman  Please post a photo of the reverse side of the board.
Voltage conversion of Accuphase C-2300 to from 100V to 120V
@foolishman Thanks for the images, It seems like the voltage conversion can be done by moving some connectors on this board, can you remove the board from the case?

How to bias a tube amp with a Multimeter
Measure the resistance at test points + and - with the amplifier powered off. If you cannot get any resistance readings, you cannot bias the output tubes. If this is the case, the problem may be a bad meter probe or the amplifier test point is no...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase E-650
@dbxdx5  While it is not necessary to bias the power amplifier after voltage conversion, I thought it would be a good idea to record the rail and bias voltages before conversion for future reference.
Voltage conversion of Accuphase E-650
@dbxdx5  Yes, switch the voltage from 100V to 120V, leave jumpers J1 and J3 unchanged.

Audible Illusions Modulus 2C Tape Out?
Unless the source is a turntable connected to the AI 2C phono input, most preamp circuits simply loop the line-level input signal to the tape output. Of course, there are exceptions to using active buffers, but I doubt that's the case with AI 2C...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase A-65 or A-70
@foolishman  Just wanted to let you know that I don't have any experience with A-80 voltage conversion, I'm just making recommendations based on photos and previous experience converting Accuphase amplifiers. I highly recommend using DBT to power...
Voltage conversion of Accuphase A-65 or A-70
@foolishman Thanks for posting photos of Accuphase A-80. To convert the mains supply voltage from 100V to 120V, my suggestion is power up the A-80 with 100V mains, Use an AC voltmeter to measure the voltage between the yellow/brown and red/bl...
