Keep Acoustic Zen or move on?

I actually tried Audience AU24 cables a while back and honestly and surprisingly could not hear a difference between them and my shotgun bi-wire Satoris so I just stayed with AZ.  This is the only time this happened BTW as all other cables I’ve tried did sound at least a little different in one way or another.  FWIW, if I was gonna upgrade my cables or interconnects I’d look at Jena Labs, Snake River Audio, or maybe Silversmith Audio just going by what I’ve read.  Hope this helps.

I had been using zen absolute, IMO is a fabulous sounding speaker cable. However I tired Cardas clear reflection and I preferred the sound better. It’s all about system matching and your preferences. Nobody can tell you what cable is better. You just have to try it in your system.

Hello Dokosan, If sound quality and cost-effectiveness for high-end cables is your goal and you do not intend to get caught on an upgrade treadmill, we had an eye-opening (positive) experience w. Iconoclast speaker cables. My "boss" heard the upgrade 2 rooms away in the kitchen, and asked me what I had changed. I had explained about the upgraded spkr. cables a few weeks earlier but she forgot. When I nervously asked her if she wanted to know the price, she said "No, they were worth it." Still cannot believe her reaction, as her first question is always, "How much?"

It was easily a major hearable upgrade. Before ordering I had extensive conversations with Bob and Galen Gareis, the designer. They were very patient as I narrowed my choices. As high-end goes, they are real-world priced. And the sound quality upgrade! They started by sending me some samples to listen to. You may want to check out Iconoclast's site. 

Save your money and move on. Different wires won't make a scientific difference but may make a faith difference.

Why ask everybody gf because only you will be able to determine if there is a difference or not. There will be a difference, but it might not be a positive 1.

Why not work with a dealer or the Cable Company that will give you 30-60 days to see if the cable you buy will be better.

This goes for every audio piece, myself and some of my friends bring in multiple pieces of the item we are interested in upgrading and auditioning it in your system, in your room, that will make a huge difference than asking people comments about an audio piece in their system which could sound completely different than in your system

Audience's new range is the Front Row Reserve so there are a lot of older used Audience cables on the market.

Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

I don’t see info on returns from Jena but Iconoclast and Silversmith both offer returns.
