2025 Audio System Wish List Time!
My system is set in my new room, added 2 GIK absorbing panels. I'm set. My new room is somewhat larger than my old listening space and has a higher ceiling. One notable change is that my streaming previously was via an Ethernet connection; now it'...
Linn LP12 turntable
BTW, yes, the Teifenbrun family is Jewish. With a turntable called a Sondek, a small speaker called a Katan, and kids names Gilad & Natan, a cartridge called Akiva, the clues are there.

I agree @daveyf and if I have not had my LP12 all these year and I were getting into vinyl from the ground floor, I seriously question whether I would choose the LP12, not because it's bad, because there are other excellent options. But I am not a...
Linn LP12 turntable
I’ve owned an LP 12 since 1998. Over that time there have been a number of changes that I’ve made- different arm, cartridge, power supply, bearing and chassis. I find it to be an excellent turntable. Are there better? Probably. Do I care? Not one ...
2025 Audio System Wish List Time!
Time for me to chime in- I have just moved and need to rebuild my system in my new home. The components are locked down- the challenge for 2025 will be the acoustics of the new room coupled with speaker placement.

Any regrets in selling gear?
The only thing I wish I had held on to was a Bryston BHA-1 headphone amp. It wasn’t my only headphone amp so between the one I kept and the Bryston, I sold the Bryston.
Any regrets in selling gear?
@testpilot Great point!
Reliability - what’s your experience been?
@jhills I have to echo your experience with Bryston service. Service was first rate.
Who knew?
I am fortunate that I live about 45 minutes from a long established Linn shop. I
Who remembers California Audio Labs?
@bojack  You have a point- I did have to have my Icon repaired a few times.  Fortunately, almost all of my hifi gear has been trouble-free.
Next step up on the streaming food chain?
@audphile1 yes- XP-20 and X250.8. I've owned both since 2015 and love them.
Next step up on the streaming food chain?
@audphile1  thsnk you got your suggestion, as you’ve owned the G1 and have had Bricasti experience
Next step up on the streaming food chain?
@lalitk  I considered the M5 before I got my Aries G1. Not really interested in Roon, plus the M5 didn’t work out for Kirk or Dr. Daystrom (if you know you know)
