Infinity IRS 3 or 5

Contact Paul McGowan at PS Audio. He restored a pair of IRS V's. 

On the East Coast, Bill LeGalll at Madisound would be the man to contact.  I believe he has a fully restored and tweaked IRS III.

If memory serves, the original crossovers need a redesign, not just new parts.

See if you can find some one who sells upgrade kits online.

Hi again everybody! (Infinity IRS V speaker)

I'm thinking to upgrade the existing crossover to JL Audio CR1, is it going to be a direct swap or need some upgrade to the tower woofer XLR connectors.

IRS Manual stated.

Control Voltage Outputs, to the woofer tower amplifiers to supply remote on/off signal.

If the V is like the IRS Beta, the crossover is also part of the woofer servo system. So you can't just replace it with another xover without losing that function.

Dear All/Mr. Paul PS Audio

Thanks for your respond and support. The IRS now sound great in my room, able to fix the crossover issue.

Near future I would like to change the internal wiring for the Mid-range Tweeter EMIM and the sub tower have seen what Paul at PS Audio did with his IRS. Can anybody advise me what cable did he used or any cable suitable for the upgrading.

Mine I believe it's not the original.
