Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact.
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

I've come to the conclusion that:
Muhammad Ali / rope-a-dope = Deep Core Tactics...

I placed my order the first week of June for the Deep Core. I haven't heard a word about shipping. At least lak got an email for his shipping address so we must be getting close but who knows really, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

We wait patiently.

Anyone want to share initial impressions of the DeepCore since they shipped already????

@lak, @dvdboulet, I can't be sure, but I think the Power Cord lak mentions is called the Super Stroke on the CPT website. I know it's well built with high quality connectors and does play with many costlier PCs, and the Super Stroke is very affordable.
@dvdboulet, Although the Equi=Core 50, 150 and 300 are good stand-alone power cords I don't recommend using them with the 1200 or 1800.
On the 1200 or 1800, I would recommend the power cord of your choice that's made for a power conditioner or large watt product.
At the end of this review: http://www.audiophilia.com/reviews/2017/6/4/core-power-technologies-equicore-1800-power-conditioner there is mention of a red and black power cord that came with the reviewers 1800 unit. I don't know if that power cord still comes with the 1800, however, I do have two of them that came with a Deep Core that I was supposed to beta test but UPS delivered the unit damaged. I can attest that in my opinion they are good power cords and compete with power cords costing $1000. Mark does sell those power cords at a very reasonable price, however, I can't locate that information at the present time but it would not surprise me if someone else can post a link for you.
If you or anyone else reading this is interested in a spacific power cord to use for the 1200 or 1800 or from the balanced power unit to your compoients fell free to send me a PM and be sure to let me know a price range. I've tesred many power cords.
Thanks guys,

I’ll take the plunge and order the 1800.

my amp is on the way from ebay (got a good deal on a nice Hegel amplifier) and my dac (also Hegel) should be ready to pick up from my local AV dealer (command performance in fairfax va) late this week... so by the weekend I should have a decent 2-channel system and for now I’ll haul up my AVS Rocket RS 760s to use as speakers in my new 2-channel rig until I can afford to get real high-end speakers worthy of the gear. I’m actually looking forward to hearing what the rocket 760s sound like with high end amplification and dac upstream :)

FYI I was’t going to get a dac... my plan was just to get a decent integrated with build in d/a and streaming (like the hegel 360). but when auditioning the gear, out of curiosity I asked if we could hook up the outboard hegal dac to see the difference versus the one built into the 360. And there was no going back...

Anyway... by this weekend I should be pumping 2 channel music in my den, celebrating good sound, and hopefully not far behind the 1800 can arrive and join the party.

thanks all!

p.s. do you guy recommend using their power cables from the 1800 to each device?
@dvdboulet I think the 1800 is a great place to start in building a two channel system as it will help let you hear each component you add at its optimal level with good power delivery. It's amazing what good power conditioning can do for a stereo system and the 1800 for the money is excellent in giving a more natural organic sound without losing dynamics or pace/rhythm.

In regards to the Deep Core lak is correct we can only speculate what it can or can't do as none of us have heard it and as we enter the worst time of year to ship a package I'm almost willing to wait until after the holidays. But...I'll take what I can get! :)
Welcome aboard dvdboulet, feel free to ask any questions you might have.
The Deep Core is a new product that none of the regular viewers in this forum have had the opportunity to listen to yet, because it has not been released, although we have been told on several occasions that it would ship. We have been waiting for quite a while now for it to be shipped, some of us more patiently than others which is why you might pick up on some friction within this forum.
BS? You mean the stuff with delayed shipping?

I’m in no rush so I can handle some extra time.

What I’m interested in is a power conditioner that will let mynew gear sound as it’s meant to sound and without constricting the dynamics of my amp.

I joined the forum today because I wanted to ask a question. Look me up at HTF or bluray.com forums and you’ll see I’ve been around a while (ie, not a product placement poster ;-) ).

What’s "new" is me getting back into 2-channel :)

Or to be more specific, the fact that 3 days ago my partner gave me "permission" to put a stereo system in our upstairs den where the acoustics are great :)

Sigh... so after a decade of trying to get good music sound out of my home theater with frustrating results, I’m finally going to just let my HT system optimize for movies and build a dedicated 2-channel system.

In any case, the 1800 is the first power conditioner in all my googling that seems to be unanimously praised both for line-level gear and amplifiers, and is not out of reach cost-wise. Hence, 2-days of google research and reading reviews finally led me to post here and ask this question.

dave :)

@dvdboulet, unless you're CPT or involved with CPT, why would anyone happens to find this thread want to buy CPT product with all the BS???  New member joined today, 1st post ... VERY VERY VERY ... interesting!!!
Buy 1800 first and use it. It is stand alone unit and it will be good for your audio and video equipment. Just Don't know enough about deep core yet to recommend it.
I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm about to (after a decade without) assemble a dedicated audiophile 2-channel system and really want to start out with the right power filtering. The last time I lived where I could really set up a 2 channel system right was back in the late 90s. In fact, I had an Audio Alchemy DTI jitter-filter/resolution-enhanced and DAC combo. That was scraping pennies to get good sound on a college budget but worth every penny. I even met Mark Schifter when working at Soundex in Willowgrove (in the very late 90s) when he came to demo the flagship Genesis speakers. Good times.

In any case... I'm wondering 2 things:

* should the 1800 and deep core be both used together as a pair, or does one effectively replace the other (or make needing the other moot)?

* If they are best used together, then if someone can only budget for one initially, which should it be?

Thanks!

Dave :)
+1 droleg (12-12-17)

Congratulations Mark upon receiving an additional award.
We look forward to the arrival of the Deep Core!
This time it's Doug. Hummm..... Doug must know something Mark should know but doesn't. It's all Doug's fault for next delay.
I'm sure that any delays are just the result of unpredictable circumstances and speedbumps on the road to developing a super new product. Hope we see it soon, though. Happy holidays.

In the midst of this very busy season for us - we just learned of another award we were previously unaware of.

At RMAF I had posted on Facebook how wonderful (musical) this room was and I was glad to learn of this award.

Very proud indeed of this...

Further shipments to Israel and Greece and lots of 1800’s leaving as well as our first output of DEEP CORE.

Doug has to go out of town for a few days and I promised to ship on his approval. He’s back tonight. I can certainly say I’m very very pleased with DEEP CORE...

Enjoy the season...

Mark
...'11/26/17...we are shipping Deep Core'....that is 2 weeks ago..anyone received theirs yet...???
Good Morning All...

I had heard from sadono that my pictures were not coming in correctly. Sorry about that...

I am trying a new service now (tiny pic) and hopefully this works.

Lynn did a nice job with these photos - thank you dear (yes... she reads these threads)...

Lets try these...

I have both the equicore 1200 and 300. The difference from wall power and stock cords is dramatic. I also own some of the entry level power cords from shunyata and there is of course no camparison. I use the 1200 on my Allnic or Unison integrated amps and the 300 on my Bryston bda2. I notice more defined bass, better separation, denser tone. Haven’t really had the opportunity to compare to other conditioners.

Those do look nice! Hopefully Santa has one with my name on it, it's getting close!
@grannyring

Your having issues because your computer or devices are not modified enough. Try some new drivers or caps? I hear Dayton work very well.
Now on my iphone I see all three links with six different views of theFrep Core.
They all worked for me maybe try a different browser. I would also like to have a engraved name like on my 1200 and not white lettering.
Try the middle link, it worked for me and once in I could see all the DC pictures as well as E=Q 1800.
Try the middle one, it worked for me and once in I could access all the Deep Core pictures as well as E=Q 1800.
Lets all keep our fingers crossed!

Patience will be rewarded with Mark. I know we're all waiting (im)patiently for Deep Core, and to have the first user feedback/reviews, or to hear for ourselves. But it sounds like that patience will soon be rewarded. So hang on to your pants, before they get blown off! 😁

Looks like things are slowly moving forward with the possible shipment of Deep Core.
So are glaciers.
No, I haven't received any email from Mark about shipping. Hopefully after you and ozzy as I know you guys have been waiting the longest.
@t_ramey No tracking number.
I hope my comment wasn't premature!
Mark asked for varification of my shipping address and phone number.
He said the Deep Core was ready to ship and would be headed my way. Maybe my mistake but I assumed othres received a simular email and would be shipping within a few days.

Mark could just say they won't be ready until next March and that will put lots of people at ease.  100% honesty goes long ways in this business you know. No, I'm not in this business..lol.
