Gryphon Diablo 300 to cornwall iv

That's a great match. I've got the Diablo 250w with my JBL 4365. It's a superb match.

That could be a great match. IME those JBLs require about 300 watts to realize good response from the woofers....and the woofers are outstanding. 

Ended up buying JBL 4367

As silent as the Gryphon Diablo 300 is, you may still hear some background noise through super efficient speakers. This is from personal experience using this exact amp with a pair of Zu Audio Omen Def Supreme. No matter what I did, I always had a very faint background hiss.

I think the gain of the Gryphon is simply too high for high efficiency speakers.

Bad idea......

JBL HDI-3800 would be a better match for that amp around the cornwall’s price range. It would not have the kind of engineering deficiencies present in the cornwall as well.

That is a bit of an unlikely pairing I suspect you won't find anyone who's tried it but no reason it wouldn't work. I love horns too just watch the volume control that's a lot of wattage!
