It sounds like you’re in the market for an integrated amp - not a preamp, correct? Some clarification questions:

1. Would you want one with a built in phono stage, or do you have an existing phono stage? What turntable and cartridge are you running?
2. There are a growing number of good, streaming integrated amps out there nowadays. One of these could be an option OR you could opt for a separate streamer. 
3. Your quartets are quite sensitive at 98db and 8 ohms. So you won’t need a lot of wattage to make them sing.
4. Tube or solid state or hybrid? The wattage output makes a difference based on which option. For example, 25 watts of good Class A tube power can be just as loud and full of presence as 100 watts of solid state. There are quite a lot of excellent options at your price range for each option!

1. 1 want a built in phono stage,i was sold 13 years ago a Audio Tecnnica from the guy who sold me my orginal 5.1 system which was never set up properly i am sure it is junk after just now looking on the internet. Does a new turntable with a fixed cartridge would be good

Right on. It sounds like you're looking for One Integrated to Bind Them All. At your price point here're a few suggestions:

1. Cambridge Audio Evo 150 (~$3300)

2. NAD Masters M10 V3 (~$3000)

3. NAD C389 BluOS (~2500)

Each of these offers both streaming AND a built in phono stage. However, that phono stage will only accept MM cartridges. Truthfully, if you really want to enjoy your vinyl and you have that $5K budget, I would suggest something like this:

• a NAD C700 V2 integrated ($2000)
• the Rega RP 3 with its installed cartridge ($1200)
• maybe the Aurorasound Vida Prima or this Musical Surroundings Nova 3 phono stage. 

I've heard Klipsch heresy's driven by Rogue audio's small tube integrated and they were very very good.  Fun speakers with a lot of energy but still smooth.  Definitely not laid back chamber music type. 

Simao, i looked at your recommendations is a class D power source the thing now? should i bit the bullet and go to a class A or AB? Also my vinly recoreds date back to the 1970's they have been played on mid grade turntables there whole life so would upgrading to a higher end turntable make a difference thanks all who are looking at these post i am absoultly lost in the woods

At that price point, with those speakers, I’d go with a classic looking, traditional integrated with a good phono section, and do a separate dac/streamer.  My recommendations:

Integrated: Yamaha A-S2200 - $5,000

Streamer/DAC - Wiim Ultra - $329

Your speakers are 8 ohm, 97+db sensitivity, so you don’t need much power.  The Yamaha has more than enough - you could actually go tubes if you wanted.  The Wiim is known to be very easy to use, so minimal complication.  

@mdalton Good point. I was holding back from a separate streamer as the OP didn't seem to be into that. However, I can +1 on the Yamaha and Wiim combo!

i look at every suggestion made so thanks and keep any thoughts coming. The Yamaha reviews are great the wiim streamer has sold reviews However i am looking to simplfy so (no question is stupid) does adding a seperacte Dac creat commplexity to ease of set up and use? Also will a CD player run thru the Dacthen onto the Yamaha

I’d run the cd player straight thru the yamaha, so you’d just have 3 sources: 1) phono; 2) CD; and 3) streaming.  So let’s assume streaming is input #3 on the Yamaha: you switch to input #3, and then you control the Wiim thru your phone (or ipad).  It’s very easy and intuitive - I’m 64, btw, for reference.  The Dac is integrated with the streamer, so you don’t even have to know it’s there.  It’ll be a simple pair of rca interconnects from the Wiim, which itself is very compact.  

oh, and missed your question re tube amp recommendations. A little tougher cuz most don’t come with phono stages, but one that comes to mind is Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum Mk 3 @ $3300.  And the upgraded “Dark” version is $4500.  Very well regarded by people I respect.  Re Yamaha, you could spend less ($3300) and get the A-S1200 with very similar specs to the A-S2200. 

Here’s a nice price for an Axxess Forte’ 1.  An integrated with a streamer.  Lots of trickle-down tech from its higher-end siblings.

It has everything except phono.   Once you start streaming from a library of millions of songs, you might not need a phono anymore.

one more idea, at other end of power spectrum: Luxman SQ-N150, for $3500.  Very cool amp.  Only 10 watts (into 6 ohms), but given the efficiency of your speakers, could be a good combo.  Nice phono stage.  

please keep your thoughts coming, I have spent hours reviwing your comments. i am leaning towards the the Yamaha s1200 rather then the 2200.All reviews i see have said you only gain 10 watts of power if true i dont need it and will use the money for my other componets.

1. Turntable to play my 50 year old vinly please remeber ease of use and maintiance there are two types of cartridges what is recommenred for a person like me

Turntable - I’m a Pro-ject fan for budget turntables.  Right at $1k you can get a Debut Pro with a Sumiko cartridge.  But there are other brands out there that have their fans: Rega, Music Hall, Mofi, just to name a few.

The Belles Aria is an outstanding integrated amp. All you would need is an outboard DAC which is no big deal. BTW, it has a 5 year warranty!
