D'Agostino Progression Integrated Amp

I have heard D'Agostino Momentum amplifier, not this model.  It was buttery smooth from top to bottom.

Sorry I haven't heard the integrated. If it's on par with the Momentum I'd say to contrast with the Luxman integrateds. They share the tube smoothness and tremendous extension in the bass and the treble but at a very different price point.

I have listened to it. It's a nice sounding integrated, it looks good -- well engineered and user-friendly. It's not the ultimate in clarity & resolution, i.e. theMomentum is definitely superior (and more expensive).

I listened to it driving Audio Vector speakers (92dB sensitivity) and it acquitted itself very well.

Overall it's a very decent product

I've heard it and it's very articulate and quick.  It's 20K so there's stiff competition though certainly strong first impression.

Wonder how it compares to the new Boulder int?

I just bought the Precision Integrated Amp.   Trading up from a Linn integrated amp as the D’Agostino is just a fuller and smoother sound with much more refined and detailed mid frequency response.  Running with a DCS Bartok DAC and Wilson Audio speakers.  Had a chance to audition in my home for a week. Freakishly good and worth the freakishly high price IMHO.

I have the Progression Integrated driving Wilson Sabrina speakers. I had a Pass Labs INT-150. I asked several non-audiophile friends over to listen to a comparison between the Progression and the Pass. It took us about 5 minutes of comparison to unanimously agree that the Progression was far better than the Pass in every audiophile parameter. I could not "unhear" the difference, so I bought the Progression. Sources were dCS Bartok for digital, and my analog system (see my Virtual System), The better SQ was obvious over all music genres. Moral: don't listen to a piece of equipment that can transform your listening experience unless you are 1) ready and able to buy it, or 2) you are listening to a ridiculously expensive piece of equipment at a show or at an audio salon and there is no way on this earth you could buy it. Listening at home causes you to be able to hear exactly what you will be hearing every time you sit down to enjoy the music, and you can't "unhear" that glorious music that elicits all that emotion that great performances beautifully rendered can produce.Anyway, this is not news to any of you, but I'm just saying: be careful out there!

@bruce_1 Have you by chance compared the Progression Int to the Pass point 8 series like the Int250 or separates like XP22/X350.8?….or the Gryphon Diablo 300?

I have heard that the Prog Int is a very good match with Magnepans.

I auditioned the progression integrated. It was really good I was looking for something different than my krell duo300xd. It had a fuller sound than the krell. I ended up going with classe seperates for a bit. But now find my self with Momentum HD pre and m400 monos. While the progression was awesome I would see of you can find a used momentum integrated. It is much better imo. 

I heard the Progresion Int at the dealers connected to Sasha DAW and it acquitted itself quite well. Source material was all-analog through an ARC phono stage. Horns on the Sonny Rollins on Impulse! LP were lush, big, round, and life-like. The dealer wouldnt concede with me when i said the Progression series sounds a lot closer to the Momentums than the cost dif would inidcate. he disagreed :) I would be a buyer except I’m skeptical of the DAC and phono card’s SQ and would order one w/o those options. Also the nomenclature used for inputs like "Radio" and "theatre" are so dated and I for one dont care for the look of the meters.
