Cronus Magnum II and power switch

I have a Cronus Magnum II and the power switch does not turn the amp off.  The red on light stays on as well. I need to plug in to play and unplug to turn off.  The rest of the functions are fine on the amp.

Need advice...

Thanks

The on/off switch is circuit board mounted and needs a tech to fix. You can use a switched power strip too.

My friend had the same trouble with the power switch on the Rogue. Like mentioned above he used an external power strip to power on and off. You are lucky that it didn't fail in the off position!

I would assume it is a relay that is stuck in one position.  Should be easy to change out if you have minimal tech skills.  --Jerry

Thanks all.  I did chat with Bill at Rogue Audio.  I am going to use the power strip method.  Bill said that to change out the power switch requires taking the top of the unit.  I am a nightmare with equipment.  He suggested the hitting the power switch on the inside to possibly break free a potential solder (I think that is what he said) of the circuit which causes it to freeze in the on or off position.  That could break it free and solve the problem.  He said it is a 50/50.  but if that didnt work, i need to find someone that can work on electronics to install a new one as I am not versed with that.  Or i can ship to Rogue (cant imagine the shipping cost).  Or buy a new Cronan - not really in my budget!  So the power strip it is.

Seems like this should not happen given that i am not the only one that has had this issue...

Thanks again to all of you.

I had that happen once on my CM II.  Did you try to unplug from the wall and then test?  That fixed it on mine and it never happened again.
