Conrad Johnson GAT preamp - ugly?

Such a dated looking preamp that's gold. To me it's not the best looking preamp and maybe it sounds really good. need to modernize how this thing looks.

Guess I am very superficial.

I like to look at landscapes & pretty women, not necessarily in that order. I like to listen to music, thunderstorms and a soothing voice. I'd also love to look at gold...a full safe of GOLD!!!. But that isn't happening. So, I look at my CJ preamp...a CT5. I think it looks good. But I'd gladly exchange it with its good looks for the Gat.
