Best room EQ?

Looking for the best sounding room correction EQ box.

After hearing Weiss’s pre-amps, op-amps, EQ1 and other gear, I haven’t found any equalization that is as good. By which I mean truly transparent yet musical at the same time. But you can only get his code on his 501 DAC, which I don’t want. But I bet there are some really good sounding audiophile room corrections these days..

??? thanks

Look into the Trinnov ST2 HiFi. Their unique mic and intuitive software make the system easy to use with excellent results. It has both digital and analog inputs. The unit is very transparent. Disclosure: We supply them with our Apollo speaker system. There are several show reports on line describing our speakers, all with the ST2 HiFi.

I believe you can get the DSP part of the DAC501 from the DSP501, which is essentially the DAC501 without the DAC:

I know about ARC, but its a problem - its software based, and I don’t think the EQ algorithms are as good as Weiss. But, whats important is I need a hardware unit which can run on the signal regardless of the source.

I should add, although I mentioned audiophile grade, its for a pro audio studio in a treated room. But the problem is the pro audio crowd room equalization (i think) is not extremely great sounding.. I thought hi-fi might have some really high end products.

For an audiophile…. Do whatever works for you! If you want room correction, old school equalizer, whatever works for you. No speaker is perfect no room is perfect no human being is perfect. Make whatever adjustments it takes to make it sound the way you think it should sound. This is entertainment it’s supposed to be fun

For an audiophile… none. Speaker placement, room treatments is the ticket. Not trying to be snooty. I have tried a few over the years, reduced sound quality and have not done what I required. Others will disagree.
