Anthem Customer Service

Very disappointed with Anthem customer service. Long time customer and a working television, film and music producer.

No phone support and email correspondence is just pitiful. Took me half a dozen emails to answer a simple question about the correct ARC microphone to use with one of their amps. And it took a supervisor, and even then very incomplete answer. My follow up emails and concerns completely ignored.

I've found their e-mail support quick, but often not useful.  For a variety of reasons I'm now recommending Marantz over Anthem.

The quality of the room correction, lack of ability to directly alter EQ curves and the incorrect / incomplete use of Dolby Surround with 2 channel sources is among the reasons why.

Hey Larsman.  5 Second Google Search: Tell me the Anthem ARC microphone model number that comes with the MDX-16.  Now tell me which other ARC microphones are compatible with the MDX-16. It took a long series of emails with customer support with ANTHEM for them to give me the right answer.  And it took a supervisor.

I could be mistaken, but my guess is that for every dissatisfied person who posts negatively about something, there are many, many times more satisfied people who don't bother posting....

That's frustrating, OP ... it's not like you don't have a million other things to do ...

Thanks, for sharing!

carlsbad2: Consider yourself the exception. That’s not what my experience was, or of numerous people that have posted negatively about their customer service and equipment issues. They have nothing to offer on the quality, performance or customer service level that I expect, so I have no reason to ever want to speak to anyone there unless they’re giving something away, in which case I would regift it to someone I don’t like! I hope you enjoyed your conversation, perhaps they have gotten the word...

Experts say that on average for every dissatisfied customer, 12 potential customers will learn of that that negative experience somewhere, somehow.  The same applies for a positive experience.

That's nothing!  Try getting anywhere with TEAC or Schiit.  Phone number isn't even listed.   They made my "never buy again" list long ago.
