Excellent amp, as most in its power class are!

If your music sounds bright, I'd team that amp with a tubed preamp.

i've owned both the acurus and the adcom (i'm also currently using an acurus a100 in my office)--the acurus is a real under-the-radar gem with less coloration than its peers and a nice, smooth tonality. i also preferred it to the adcom, which might have shown more detail but also got a bit edgy at the high end.

Thank you for all the responses. So far I am really enjoying it. It does not have the edgy sound like the Adcom. However, they both have great bass and are indentical but with A150 having alittle more body in the upper bass region then the Adcom. With male vocals and anything near the 250hz region, I feel it might be alittle overwhelming so I have to cut about 4db in the 250 and now it magic.

@pmm They dont sound bright at all. Not at the level I listen to which is pretty moderatemost of the time.

It’s a very good Amp. I just gave my brother a pair of Sonus Faber Concerto and we set them up with an A150. Sounds great. Enjoy, good score

that amp can push some much bigger speakers, if that's ever crossed your mind.
