Do you Bi-Wire, if you can?
I have bi wired in the past. Now I single wire with good jumpers. It works out better that way for meYMMV

My Revel F30s
Interesting. I just moved to a new place. Different room, different set up, removed the upper speaker grills, and while the F30's are still not imaging champs, they throw a pretty decent image now. Guess I'm keeping them some more.
Need Help buying headphones and head amps
Sennheiser HD600 or HD650 with a Bottlehead Crack amp. Total investment is probably about $600. The only caveat is you have to build the headphone amp but to me that just makes it more fun.
My Revel F30s
Aside from imaging I thoroughly enjoy my F30sMy two exposures to Sonus Fabers in other homes leftvmecfeeling that they were on the bright side
Records with words with the letter S are slurred
In my experience what you are hearing is an artifact of mist racking. Some records are pressed "hot" and sibilance is unavoidable. Goodxalignment and set up are key and having a cartridge that tracks well also helps
What's your latest album purchase?
Duke Ellington Masterpieces and Joe Henderson Page One
is there an audiophile war going on
I frequently visit SH's site and I've not noticed any of the knocks noted in this thread. I own Pass electronics and I've not been knocked for that. I am into vinyl- LP12/Ekos/Arkiv B/Lingo/Trampolin, and I've not been knocked for it. YMMV
Personal Turntable Evolution
My first table was some forgettable BSR belt drive table (1977)My second table was a Kenwood KD1033 (1977 - ?, gave it to a relative) Next- some Onkyo nonsense (1980 - ?, gave it to a friend, still in use!)Next- Thorens TD166 MK 4 (1985-1990)Next-...
Fake Audiophiles
I suppose a real audiophile loves the gear but all in service of the music which remains primaryA fake audiophile loves his gear more than any piece of music

Phono stage matching - how critical
By the way the Soundsmith isn't an mm design- a point suggested by some of the responses to the op.
Power cable for Pass x150, x150.5 or INT-150
Went with Cullen cable Crossover series. Very pleased!
Pass XP-10 vs. Conrad Johnson ET3-SE
The 30.5 plus XP10 is an outstanding pair. Run a balanced line between the 2 and you will get the most out of your 30.5
Pangea Power Cables comments
I have used Pangea. Very good for the money. My current favorite cord is Cullen Crossover. Also a fan of a DIY cord using Belden 19364 cable and/or Supra Lorad 2.5
