Dynaudio sub with C1's Hi Tom I have been moving my speakers rack and sub trying to get the best sound. When I tried all 4 spikes it seemed to lose some 'meat' away from the bass. For the most part I didn't care for the sound. It was suggested by a Rel dealer to try jus...
Integrated: Red Wine 30.2 vs Bryston B100 SST I have to agree with Jaybo - speakers first. I started with the Bryston B100 replacing my Denon. Very nice integrated. Next I got a Merdian G08 cdp. Then I fell in love with the Dynaudio C1's replacing my Mission/Cyrus 782's. The B100 matches fair...
Strange amplifier problem 3. After some time I see a spark near the IEC inlet and check the fuse - it is blown.Did you see a spark or was it a clear glass fuse that blew? As far as blowing the line fuse I would think something is wrong with the amp. Something is causing an...
Dynaudio sub with C1's Thanks for all the replies. Bob I never really thought about an external crossover. It is something to consider.
Dynaudio sub with C1's Drubin - Yes I do run the Rel off the amp (high level). The Dyn subs wont do high level. I did compare the Rel with JL audio but with sonus faber's creamora's and auditor's and thought the Rel was more musical. I like a musical system.Shadone - I ...
Dynaudio sub with C1's Dhaskins - I am using a Bryston B100 which does lack some power for the C2's but not that bad. As far as the sim I got my C1's from Tyler and he has a sim stack. BTW Tyler is the best dealer I have ever done any business with. Yeah great set up bu...
Dynaudio sub with C1's Thanks for the response Shadone. My concern is that as great as the Rel is it doesn't seem to match up with the Dyn line. I was thinking if I change my intergrated with one that has a sub out would it be worth it to get the sub 500 to give me the ...
Ethernet cable/router upgrade? I'll be the first to admit that I never thought something like a power cable (or dedicated wiring) could make such a difference but to me it does. Logically an ethernet cable shouldn't make any difference but I've never tried an expensive one. Kno...
Ethernet cable/router upgrade? Ethernet cables wont make a difference especially in speed. The reason is you are limited by the speed of your internet connection (uselly capped at 6mb). The streaming music/video is encoded in the tcp/ip protocol which is digital not analog.
Integration of a REL B3 subwoofer Mine sounds better in a corner - otherwise I'm too close to it. Try using just the front spikes. It takes out a bit of the bloom.
Single Point Ground Ok from an electrical point of view that's different. By national code all building wiring must have a single point ground. First you need to understand that neutral is a current carrying conductor and earth ground (3rd prong on the pc or outlet) ...
Single Point Ground A single point ground in a audio system could mean only 1 component is grounded. Typically the device that draws the max current. I have heard some 'tube' guys do that to eliminate ground loops/humming.
Dynaudio Confidence C1 vs Totem Mani-2 I never heard the totem but I do have the C1's. I can't say enough good things about the C1's. Very transparent open and detailed. Great imaging too. Best midrange and overall balance I've heard for a monitor. They do sound better with a sub. I ha...
Where's the bass? I agree with Chayro. I might add Klipsch to the mix.
Widening Soundstage If your speakers are toed-in try them more straight on. Like Shadorne also suggested either move the speakers back a bit or your chair to be farther away. |
