new small room, big change Dynaudio Confidence C1's (approx $4k used 7.5k new). Sonus faber Creamora auditor or the new 'M' series. A little laid back for my taste but a great sound. Should be around 3.5 to 5k used. With either speaker I do recommend the factory stands - you...
break in tips I agree with Cruz123 and Rushton. I just recently broke in 2 pair of speakers (dynaudio c1's - first pair had a cabinet defect). I used a break in cd by granite audio which did not speed up the process. Sounded good right out of the box then at be...
Ground Loop Hum Is the REL plugged into the power conditioner or the wall? If the wall the conditioner may be isolating the ground causing the hum. I had a hum from my cd player and lifting the ground fixed it.

Totem Mani 2 Signatures vs. Usher BE-718 I may not be much help but I do have the Bryston B100 sst and it is driving a set of Dynaudio C1's. I have never heard the totems or the ushers but they Dyns sound great with the Bryston (regarding power and the Dyns love power).

Musicline was big about 20years ago and it is more of a 'Shotgun' wire. 4 wires per cable split into 2 16 ga stranded (24 strands for the low) and 2 16 ga stranded (104 strands for the highs). I...
Opinions about sub for this system appreciated REL B3 is fairly easy to integrate and would be a good size for your room. I dont care for the new 'R' series.

Dynaudio or B&W I have the Dyn C1's and am using a Bryston B100 sst rated at 100w @ 8 ohms and 180w @ 4 ohms. Sounds great to me and others. Dyns like B&W love power. Dyns have a great high end where the B&W (even D series) are a little bright and too for... |
