Listening chair suck-out
How about a porcelain throne instead or marble. I think home depot has a sale on them so since you wont be flushing who cares about the flushing strength!!! :)
Synergistic Research IFT bi-wire
Anyway, since the spades have some serious black burn marks that I cannot remove, I do want to re-terminate them. That sounds like arcing due to some very very loose connections. Thats 1 reason I prefer banana's. I personally would contact the guys...
Review: Fusion Audio Impulse/Enchanter Power cords Power cord
Nice review. I too have the impulse and enchanter in my system. Although I did not compare them to as many pc's as you once I heard them I never considered anything else. Well I did compare them head to head with the Nordost Brahma and vahalla's a...
Boulder 865 integrated with Dynaudio C1?
As a Dyn C1 owner I have to say they are the best at its price point by far. But again that is my opinion. I have a Bryston B100 driving my C1's and it does a real good job. In fact I'm currently demoing the C2's and the bryston is just holding it...
Subwoofer hook-up question
Can the speaker level inputs of a sub be connected to the binding posts of the mains rather than the binding posts of the amp?YES but do connect both speakers to the sub.Would the amp see a different load?No if they are high level inputs on the sub.
Where does fatique come from?
I personally feel the worst fatigue comes from a bad mid range followed by a harsh high end. Again I think speakers are the first consideration when trying to battle fatigue. Followed by the source then pre-amp/amp - receiver - int amp. It's actua...

Need speaker advice for new Rotel system
I am using a Bryston B100 100wpc @8 ohms and 180wpc @4 ohms with dyn C1's. I'm also currently demoing the C2's and the Bryston is holding its own.Power should not be a problem with most of the dynaudio lineup.
nordost baldur ic's and sc's compare to norse lin
If you are asking has anyone compared them I have. I had a Nordost demo case with blue havens through the frey. I would say with each step up the brightness is somewhat tamed - the air between the vocals and instruments gets a little better and th...
Did you ever take a step back
Yes but always pleased with the new. I had some problems with my 5k CDP (approx 2 yr old) and had to send it in for repair. I got back my old CDP back (approx 19 yr old) as a backup and even though at the time when I bought the new one I wasnt sur...
Where to use a pair of interconnects?
Philjolet hit it on the head. Its your ears - expectations, with your system in your home.
source for long component and IC
For 25 ft I hope you mean Balanced IC's because they should be fine. Rca's wont cut it (too much signal loss with a low output)
Help chossing a good speaker. $ 3-5 K
I think the Dynaudio C1's (used) would be an excellent choice for your room. I have a pair and are great for near field listening. I also have a Rel B3 sub which is the icing on the cake.
the grills
The only time my grills are on is when either of my 2 grandsons come over. With my mission/cyrus 782's speakers I couldn't hear any differences with the grills on or off. But I now have Dynaudio's C1's. The soundstage disappears with the grills on...
How to use my old B&W's with my new big screen??
If the Blu-Ray has an audio out just run some ic's to your pre-amp or int amp. If the Tv has audio out it most likely wont have enough power to drive the speakers on their own.
