Viper7,You have created the most humorous post I have ever read on AG, simply brilliant.  Many of the respondents have riffed on in the spirit of your OP.  Thanks, man, keep it coming, expose the folly of maximum audio nervosa!  You are spot on!  ...

I get a kick out of you guys ribbing me about using an unfamiliar bisyllabic word.  To have made it easier for you to understand my point, I should have used a more familiar word, such as "deficit."  I am back with Tidal and happy as can be.

WFT, GK has met his match in terms of bizarre audio tweaks.  I didn't think anyone could be as far out as GK, but this cat clearly is.  Kindred spirits, they are.  Way too damn funny.
Paul McGowan's (PS Audio) autobiography -- "99% True" now available for $4.99 on Kindle
snapsc,Only three books in the que?   I get Bookbub offerings every day for excellent ebooks for a dollar or two so I have a ton of books in the que.   I shared a bit of Paul travails in my early life and hence the book was very relatable. It is a...
Paul McGowan's (PS Audio) autobiography -- "99% True" now available for $4.99 on Kindle
I stayed up very late and read it cover to cover, it was that interesting.  In spite of numerous set backs in his life and career, he continued to press on towards his goal in remarkable fashion.  No bitterness, only joy and a love for his fellow ...
Diffusion vs. Sound Absorption views
Sir,Great advice, which I think is pretty much where I am now -- all absorption.  Maybe I could send you a PM and somehow get you a photo of my living room for your opinion.  Thanks, Mark
Diffusion vs. Sound Absorption views
Thanks for the comments and suggestions, a particular solid from from GK.
Diffusion vs. Sound Absorption views
I am keen to check out this diffusion aspect of sound treatments, as I have a remarkably dampened room (two layers of 5/8" sheetrock with Green Glue in between and several sound panels behind the speakers, and thick carpet in the room.)   I have a...
