Bob James
In the May/June TAS there's a review of "Bob James: Feel Like Making Live!"
Bob James
Bob keeps putting out albums.  I've even seen his album "Espresso" get a review in Stereophile or TAS, not sure which.  He's still a little too smooth for me, though.
Songs that sound like Dylan
Joan Baez used to be able to do a great Dylan impression, but her voice has headed south just like Dylan's.  I know that's not what you're looking for but I just thought I'd throw it in for a laugh.
5AR4 rectifier tube question
While you’re at ebay check out this link for an example of etched codes: Mullard Blackburn GZ34 etched code Top line right below the word Mullard - f32. f3 is the tube type and 2 is the change code, like a model number - v1, v2, etc. The second...

If this guy thinks he can determine the sound he’s going to get from the equipment he takes home by how the store he buys it from looks, he’s in for a surprise. GHT may be a great dealer, but there are many great dealers operating out of less lux...

A quick question related to Amperex Bugle Boys
Some info about the original question. I think the 5AR4s were made in England in the Blackburn Mullard factory but were sometimes labelled Amperex. Phillips was a Dutch conglomerate that owned many tube brands, Mullard, Amperex, Siemens, Valvo, an...

Thank you for the explanation @petg60.! Very helpful. That's a lot of technology for connecting our components.

@petg60  What does triple C stand for?  I know OCC is Ohno Continuous Cast.  The Furutech mentioned above combines OCC with DUCC.  I don't know what DUCC is either.  Does anyone know?
Can my Roon Nucleus be used with a non-Roon-ready DAC?
I’m not sure about that, jjss49. The roon nucleus is a streamer. You connect it to a streamerless DAC that is roon ready and the DAC will play whatever the nucleus streams to it. I do this myself with an Esoteric SACD player that has no streaming ...
