Ayre, wow
I think natural describes the Ayre components I've owned and heard too. I don't think you'll find better.
Krell
Even if they sound identical I'd be very disappointed. Seems more like something you'd get from a Wall-Mart special not a main stream high end manufacturer.
How does one get off the merry-go-round?
Mrtennis,, your right , who wants to have a bunch of fun anyway, when you can sit back and complain and save money doing it. Glad you've sorted that out for us.
How does one get off the merry-go-round?
Hello Foster, Never said upgrading was cheap and I guess affordable would depend on your financial position. I do enjoy spending time with the family, spending time at the lake and listening to our smaller audio system there. But my real passion is...
Is Jim Smith's Book"Get Better Sound"Best Book ?
I passed on Jim's book because I've purchased many books that cover the same area's. But Jim is always a gentleman to talk to and has always been very knowledgeable and helpful.
Magnepan 3.6 or 3.7 - The smart choice?
I've heard the 3.7's in a few different systems and thought they were pretty fair. Never liked the 3.6's. No matter what was driving them they always sounded like metal on metal.
Rumors about a new Ayre integrated amplifier?
Jreerunn40,,, did he say if it was a tube amp? I'm thinking of upgrading my integrated amp at our lake house, now a Jadis unit, and love most of the Ayre products I've heard. I'm not much into tubes anymore but are second system was setup and voic...
How does one get off the merry-go-round?
Why would anyone want to get off the merry-go-round, upgrading is one of the few things I look forward to anymore, I mean after my girls, ( wife and daughter ).
What new CD/SACD player?
Look no further than Ayre.
How many still listen to CD's daily.
Interesting responses, I expected many more sarcastic answers from the vinyl groupies. I have to admit we still listen to vinyl when audiophile type friends are by. But most of the time it's CD, and as much for the sound as the convenience.
Revel Salon2/Studio2/Voice2 amplification???
I use Levinson amplification with my Salons with great results. Have also heard them with Classe' electronics with stunning results.
Why are so many albums poorly remastered onto cd
Many remastered CD's do sound inferior to the original, but there are many that actually sound better.
Melody Gardot "The Absence"
I thought it was great too. Bought it on LP and CD, for some reason the CD version sounds better, to me. The ambiance which endows that a performance with the characteristics of a particular time and space is much improved on the CD . Go figure.
What is a high end stereo SUPPOSED to sound like?
Like music.
Is it time to upgrade
Should also add, that the audio upgrades I've made have all been done very carefully and purchases were only made after long listening sessions at home, so each change has been a worthwhile and satisfying improvement to the former.
