What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
Just about 10 days have passed since this thread started. Nothing has been established-just as expected. Littlefuse=couple of bucks for a handful Audiophool fuse= MANY dollars for 1 SQ end result-whatever your brain convinces the ears.
Jeff Beck, Blues De Luxe
Without Rod Stewart-does a version even exist? I always thought the psuedo "live" recordings were odd-like what's on the Truth  album. The only "other" version that comes up in Google search is an actual "live" version which is much better than...
Upgrading My Vinyl Set Up
PL HP user here. The Sopra 2 can sound great driven by it-subjective, of course. The same setup by another set of ears will be heard differently. You will also get responses the Sopra’s should be driven by "X" SS/tube amp, and "X" brand cable. ...
Old stock power cords and SMTPs
What's the prize for guessing what SMTP is? One of the OP's stock power cords?
Power conditioners and power regeneration
"Only other way to have ultra clean power is condition from the pole to your meter, which I’m not going there." I'd be thinking the same way only IF at the very least a dedicated outlet is already in play. I use BOTH.
Power conditioners and power regeneration
Like most things audio-yes, no and maybe. Demo is the only way to find out. PP user here.
Mono record sounds like stereo
A well recorded mono LP is an attention getter. Period press of straight ahead Jazz on Contemporary, World Pacific and Riverside are a few of the other labels that do the magic.

Tuning your tubes
"Tuning tubes" What note do we use as reference? I'll try C# and report back.
Does someone’s opinion affect your opinion?
If all adjustable parameters are good, your own ears do the final sign off. Every listener at a show/demo room will not agree a SOTA rig sounds amazing. It looks like your perception is tainted however. Time for another cartridge upgrade.
KT-77 vs. KT-66
hilde45- Just for some new audio kicks NOS 6L6GC subs can still be found for reasonable cost. You're probably familiar with Brent Jesse? "Also, I would like to hear how vintage 6L6’s sound in a Primaluna" toddnlg- if you're referring to the LOW...
is sensorineural hearing loss permanent?
Some individuals have the ability to create/live in their own reality, and that includes defying physical science. I have a list of degenerative conditions throughout my body and hearing loss/massive tinnitus are 2 of them.  Cures/information fr...

"Hope it has enough gain for the ART9xa" based on the latest spec: Three gain settings: 40dB, 55dB, 64dB Ares is a great phono amp especially in it's price range. 64dB should be fine, on paper perhaps on the  lowest acceptable value. The lines...
Not your run-of-the-mill, used spinner.
Whart- There are 2 things with the table spec I question. Why didn't the original buyer spec a 2nd arm for mono, and with all the choices of arms at this level, why did the previous owner choose the unipivot Graham? The unipivot as you know is ...
