CartageRrecommendations, totally lost.
A few years ago, after owning and enjoying cartridges by Benz, Koetsu, van den Hul and Shelter, I was encouraged to try a Lyra Argo i by an audio friend. Ever since then I have become a fan of their designs and now have both an Argo and a Helikon....
Does anyone "throw away" Lp's ?
With LPs that have a nasty pop or other defect across a critical or quiet section of music, the last thing I would want is to forward that horror onto another unsuspecting vinyl lover/purchaser so that they don't have to drop the F bomb as I did w...
Speakers for Bryston
Check out Vandersteens, they are great speakers and Brystons will drive them well.
Krell KCT user help
Read the manual for the KCT on the Krell site. It looks like you have to select betweern the two using the remote. CAST is the default.
Give up on Thiel 3.6 or try another amp again ?
If you want warmth and drive capability, Krell FPB amps 300cx or higher will solve all perceived drive problems with Thiels. I've used a 400cx with CS6s for the past 9 years without any issues and I am very happy with this combo.

Interconnects: solid or hollow core wire?
Solid Core ICs and speaker cables by Mapleshade or Audioquest. Two very different price points and design approaches but Mapleshade is the best cable bargain in existence.
Does 'Accuracy' Matter or exist ?
Yes, and accuracy is the degree to which truth is realized. To the artist in the live venue, or the studio, being recorded, truth is fleeting and undefined. Plus, none of us will ever experience that nor where the artist stood or sat and heard the...
Vinyl lovers I must be crazy
Bob, the reality is that if you even have a slightest hankering for getting back into vinyl, simply DO IT. Lay out a couple grand on a decent table, arm, phono stage and cables and some new/used LPs and just go for it. You are in good company and ...
Bryston 7B SST2 + Aesthetix Calypso ???
I have heard the Aesthetix Janus coupled to Parasound JC1s and this is a very nice match up, very sweet, warm and detailed. My guess is that, with Bryston in a similar sonic realm as Parasound (I've previosuly owned both brands of amps and specifi...
