Porter Ports or Cabledyne Cryo Hubbell 5362
Both outlets are good. As with anything else YMMV. The Cabledyne HBL5362 is a deal IMO. They can't be making much on those.
Porter Ports or Cabledyne Cryo Hubbell 5362
The HBL8300GY I have are nickel plated contacts. The HBL5362 is the one you want and sounds just as good Furutech FTX golds, IMO. The Hubbell product codes are misleading. See the cabledyne blog that explains this in detail.http://www.cabledyne.co...
Porter Ports or Cabledyne Cryo Hubbell 5362
Explain to me why you would need and isolated ground outlet with residential wiring. Also many hospital grade outlets are nickel plated such as the Hubbell 8300 series.
Speaker cables: $3000 or $380. What do you get??
I have owned high priced Nordost Valhallas and Siltech Gen.5 and lower priced cables from Ridge Street, Pure Note, and Morrow. There is a sonic difference depending on your system components and your hearing acuity.Regarding Price: Most of the nam...
Darwin silver IC's or Cabledyne silver IC's?
No need to have a pissing war amongst one's favorite brand of cables. Every cable maker has their theories and most claim they have the "answer." What works in your system and YMMV. :)
Darwin silver IC's or Cabledyne silver IC's?
I will chime in. Contacted Ed at Cabledyne for some insight:"Xhadows RCAs have anodized aluminum barrels and the main body including the tip is silver-plated OFC solid machined copper. All signal connections are solderless in the main body, not th...
Darwin silver IC's or Cabledyne silver IC's?
I can only speak for the Cabledyne power cords which are worth far more, IMO. Cabledyne has some impressive reviews and I especially like their vendor references, you know what goes into their cables. Supposedly one of the founders is a retired en...
Why does an audiophile grade power cord matter?
No doubt in my mind that a PC makes a difference. You must have good plugs too AND replace that cheap contractor grade outlet.
Who remembers the FULTON cables?
Yes! Had them on a set of Beveridge speakers. Very grainy. Cables have come a long way since then.
What's up with Ridge Street Cables
Yep, they used to make good cables. I would keep the cords and enjoy. JMO.
Best value in speaker cables??
Better value is Cabledyne. Choice of copper or silver depending on your budget. Lots of reviews now on their site (may have to try them anyway). I own their power cords and they are still serving me well.http://www.cabledyne.com/speaker-cables.html

Rpeluso: Why are you venting your displeasure here? Just return the cables and move on.
Found the ground loop hum source, how to fix?
Yes, very common issue. Another one is light dimmers.

recabling my Stax sr-009 to pure copper cable
SnibelSnabel: You are not hearing things, IMO. Copper is definitely warmer than plated wire or some silver cables. I use an old pair of Cardas Cross cables in my headphone system. It does add a euphonic coloration to the sound however.
