Silver cables
"According to Tempo Electrics' website, 4 nines silver it about the best you can get unless you work for NASA and have deep pockets."Not true. There are sources in Taiwan and China that make 6 and 7 nines wire. Harmonic Tech and Acoustic Zen sourc...
Silver cables
I wonder about these pure silver speaker wire claims. Price out say 12 gauge 6 nines silver wire by the foot and you will see that it is impossible to sell any product in the sub $500 range.
Silver cables
You will get silver clad copper in that price range.
Have you ever skinned a speaker cable?
Skinned a few cats in my day :), lol. I have used cable slitters to do this job. Have fun!http://www.ebay.com/bhp/cable-slitter

Question for serious Siltech users
I had a full suite of Siltech Gen.5 cables. In my tube based system they were OK in the day. Later I moved on to Pure Note, Audio Art, etc for far fewer bucks and comparable performance. I have recently tried the Cabledyne Silver RCA interconnects...
Porter Ports or Cabledyne Cryo Hubbell 5362
Update: After several hundred hours I can say that the Hubbell HBL5362 bested some of my reference outlets. The only one that sounded warmer is the Furutech FPX copper. The Furutech GTX Rhodium was definitely brighter in my system. For the best ov...

Principles of audiophile cable construction?
There is No absolute reference, hence none of this matters. Try a brand of cables and if it improves the sound of your system, enjoy.
Porter Ports or Cabledyne Cryo Hubbell 5362
I have one R-1 outlet. They are plated. Beryllium copper is the base metal which is harder than pure copper to provide a spring contact. In my listening tests, I find Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium to sound similar (brighter). Gold contacts are ...
Power cords?
I own Cabledyne power cords, available in copper or silver wire. They have bested many expensive cords and they are better made. See their reviews on the Cabledyne site. There was one here in Agon.
Burned out Audiophile - Trying to Find some Zen
I know audio purists that change out gear like their socks always pursuing the holy grail. For me, I am retired for now and enjoying the music.
Are unequal length speaker cables really bad?
Equal lengths are best since there will be sonic differences. I point this out because some audiophiles claim to hear differences in the terminations alone. YMMV
