Have You Tried Cabledyne Interconnects?
Thanks Ed for confirming this. I prefer silver cables, in fact I have owned a few that used the Cardas plugs and they sounded perfect. Xhadows are even better.
Nordost Valhalla 2... When?
Heard about it. Can't wait. Maybe there is a waiting list?

Hell no, no affiliation with that company.Cardas RCAs are all brass, no copper. Check out their site. I was able to scrape the edge of my RCAs (Golden Cross) and I see brass, not copper.See:http://www.cardas.com/content.php?area=oem&content_id...

Jburidan:I own a pair of $700 Cardas Golden Cross interconnects that use the same Cardas silver plated RCA plugs. So I don't believe it has anything to do with "cutting costs.
Cable Upgrade: Too much transparency
I agree with Mr. Tennis. The particular cable combination may be revealing a bright system component.
Interconnects and shielding and what it does.
Try it both directions. If there is no noise then whatever sounds best. :)

Oh, but these are copper cables which really don't need much time, YMMV. I have had a few Audioquest coppers that sounded great out of the box. Silver is another story and IME can take up to 400 hours.Might be worth a listen with a 30-day return? ...

New kid on the block? Looks good for the money. As far as burn, 8 hours is nothing compared to 200 hours for most others. Still, I like around 100 hours to be sure.
banana plugs or not?
Hard-wired is the best, yet impractical. The fewer connection points the better. Bare wire not so good with silver or other exotic metals.
Ungrounded power cord: Will I die?
Yes. Let us know the date of your funeral. :) :)
Quality 15 Amp Right Angled Plug
Bryant hospital grade (clear cover). Available online. As good as any I have tried.http://ww.dale-electric.com/products/view/8295-T
Cable maintenance
Belt sander, every month. :) Actually I used the "Caig" Pro Gold products.
Pure Note Designers Edition
I believe you mean TRS Audio. The cables are no longer, replaced by their TRS brand (which is also excellent, IMO). According to Jim at TRS, their agreement with the defunct Pure Note company has ended and they are building their own products now....
Vampire Wire circa 1983
Stuart Marcus, Sound Connections is the man to talk to.
Speaker cable vibration?
Banana plugs have more mass (surface area) and sound far worse, IMO, than a low profile spade.
