First song to "Blow You Away"...
"21st Century Schizoid Man" by King Crimson. 'Nuff said!OK, maybe not. Years later, "Sound Chaser" by YES from the LP "Relayer" changed my peception of what music could be and what musicians could do, and re-shaped my guitar playing.

Moody Blues "Question of bal." CD or SACD vs Vinyl
One thing about "Question", the song, not the album - the only true original version is the original pressing LP. In post production, as I have heard it, the boys added some mellotron stabs and high vocals, and mixed them in on the fly. In all sub...
Best Rock Drummers
I'll listen to ANYTHING Bill Bruford plays. He is so original and outside the box that it's breathtaking. He is one of a few drummers that you can identify his playing inmediately - not many you can say that about!
Are the Audio Physic Virgo II's ageing well?
Oh, by all means listen away, I love that music too, and some others (YES, ZAPPA, DREAM THEATRE) that I listen to loudly. But at high concert volumes (not loud, or Loud, but LOUD!!!) these get a little hard sounding. Otherwise, for me they are the...
Are the Audio Physic Virgo II's ageing well?

Anti-cables vs CC89259
Didn't compare directly against the CC89259, but did against:Cardas CrossXindak FS-1Kimber 4TCGoertz MI2All cables were 3m, except the Goertz which is a little longer (11 ft).In every case, the Speltz was the loser, even against my old Kimber. The...
When showing your system to others, what do you do
What works for me is:* First I get their basic taste in music - Rock? Jazz? Classical? Female vocals? Monks moaning? * Then I play something in that genre, hopefully something/someone they've heard or heard of before, something that is recorded an...
What's your system response on " Feels like home"
I agree with Rotarius - these recordings are mostly free of the over-compressed, supercharged high end normally found on "pop" CDs. personally, I find these CDs (haven't heard the vinyl, as I understand they used the digital master to make the LP ...
