Speaker Bass Reduction Jeez guys, someone just asked for advice, and your rolling down your pants to see who's got the biggest one. Sigh..... It's already said: move you spekers away from the walls, block the ports with foam or roll up a sock and put it in (not to far, ...
How often to Audiophiles upgrade their equipment? 2chnlben, it's even worse when you're getting older. I can't drink like I used to, but there are more things I can't do like I used to. So I need more equipment to compensate, but I can't afford it. I'm stuck!!! Help me!!! Ok, maybe it's time now ...
How often to Audiophiles upgrade their equipment? Well 2chnlben, I drank all of them damn cocktails, and now I've got a terrible hangover. Next time I'll buy some more equipment instead of booze...
bought a linn axis with basic arm...good cart. Go for the Linn family, that will work perfectly with the Basic arm. A K5 or, if you can stretch to it, K9 will sound pretty good IMHO. Enjoy!
Got any of your dream system yet? None of it would survive, but all of my music would. Just one problem.... I more or less own the system I dreamed of years ago. So if I would buy the system I dream of now, how will I feel in a couple of years? Sigh...... maybe it's better if Zeus...
How often to Audiophiles upgrade their equipment? Cheers mate, and thanx for the compliment - I'm not that young anymore, I just haven't learned anything from the past :). Seriously, you're right offcourse. Food, shelter, clothes etc. is much more important than equipment, especially when you can...
How often to Audiophiles upgrade their equipment? Wow 2chnlben (strange nick), youre really a responsible guy. Audio's Most Enduring Products. Thorens TD125 turntable with SME 3009 arm, been working from around 1974. Although I have to admit I've changed the cartridge and belt since then, so does this still count?
Best Component Ever, for the money To me, best value for money is some cheapish trannie radio. You get a tuner, antenna, amp and loudspeaker in one package. You don't have to buy software, it's all around you. Doesn't come cheaper.....
Can we have an "Ask Sean" catagory? What the f**k? I've been away for some time, and now discover one of our most knowledgable members is banned for speaking out his thoughts? I'm not going into freedom-of-speech legislation, I live in Holland, so I don't know any American legislati...
PMC speakers? I once auditioned them at a pro-audio show, and although the acoustics sucked, and I wasn't familiar with the music or source and amp, I was very, very impressed. A bit beyond my financial horizon though....
Favorite Music When Having Sex Here in Holland there was this band called the 'Raggende manne', which means something like 'hardhitting men'...... Anyway, they had a single that went like this: you heard a lot of noise (guitars, drums etc) for about 12 seconds, and then the sin...
What tattoo to get next? I have a tattoo of a guitar with a bird on the neck on my right shoulder. To me, it reflects the freedom (bird) you can achieve by listening to the music (guitar). It was a custom job, a friend of mine drew it, so it's a one of a kind. I have the ...
Guitar Solos There is one track one the first (actually second, but his first real) record of Joe Satriani. I can't remember the name of the song, but its the fourth (or third? Damn you, alcohol!) track of the album. It already is a great solo, but the way he ...
worlds best headphones Sennheiser Orpheus ? I've heard (just the talk, not the 'phones) that the Sennheiser 650 is rather astonishing.... |
