RCM Fluid Applicator: Loricraft
Mrmb - This started out as your thread, and I didn't mean to "highjack" it. Thanks to you, Docsavage and Jtimothya for advice and counsel on thread management - - - much appreciated!
RCM Fluid Applicator: Loricraft
I second the thanks to Dougdeacon! I got my Loricraft about a month ago and found that when applying fluid to the spinning LP in the manner suggested by Loricraft, a few (or more) drops sometimes splashed off the LP onto the machine. So - - - I'll...
Zu tone or Druid or which Omega ?
My 2nd system listening room dimensions are about the same as yours, as are my listening tastes - - although I do listen to a fair bit of classical (chamber) music as well. I've owned a pair of Omega Hemptones for well over a year now and *love* t...
Stylus For Gauge - Do I really need one?
If you want an inexpensive stylus force gauge, get the Shure model - - probably about $20-25 bucks. It's pretty darn accurate - - although not as precise as the fancy digital models.
Re Miles Davis vinyl
I second Albertporter's endorsement of Miles on Mosaic. I own them all, and they are superb.

Phono amp recommendations
Second (or third) the Eastern Electric recommendations - very musical, and a thing of beauty to behold. Rated Stereophile Class B. U.S. distributor is wonderful to work with. I've had one in my secondary system since January - - - very pleased.
Ortofon Jubilee and Graham 2.1 ?
The fellow who wrote this review:http://www.10audio.com/ortofon_jubilee_kontA-B.htmmated the Jubilee to a Graham Phantom with excellent results. I've been using a Jubilee with a Naim Aro/ Linn LP-12 for almost four years now - - great cartridge!.
integrated tube amp recommendations, with remote
Second Gmood1's recommendation on the Eastern Electric M520. I got one for my secondary system in January and love it. Built like a tank and nice to look at. (Sounds great, too! Got it hooked up to a pair of Omega Hemptones.) The remote itself is ...
Tivoli Radio???
I have two Bose Wave Radios - bought the first one in '95 and the second in '97 (for office use). Thought they were pretty neat - - - until I got the Tivoli Model Two about 2 years ago - - sound quality of the Tivoli clearly superior to the Bose: ...
Up great MMF-9
You can adjust the VTA on the Project Carbon arm. This may be accomplished by loosening the two (2) Allen screws on the back of the pillar that supports the tonearm. Instructions for doing so are contained on page 11 of the instruction manual that...
Cartride in December
Bravo! And Merry Christmas to you!!
Large Classical Record Dealers
I've had excellent experience with Jerry Canter's "Classical Collector" service - www.classicalcollector.com. Fair grading/decent prices. On Audiogon there are a number of very fine classical vinyl sellers - notably Recordron and Orest1. There are...
Tonearm for Sota Saphire
I've got a 20 month old Sapphire mated to a Graham 2.1 arm (ceramic wand). Cart. is a Helikon Mono (this is my dedicated mono rig). Been completely happy with it (although I should've gotten the 2.2 - - will probably do that upgrade next year).
Popping Sound From TT
I agree with Dan_ed. Also, if you're using a felt mat you might try something else - I switched from felt to a Ringmat on one tt and a Herbie's mat on another - - both helped reduce static charges quite a bit.
