where can I buy a 1/4 amp slow blow fuse? Most Electrical supply houses, Graingers, some automotive stores, Parts Connexion, as much as I hate to mention.....Radio Shack. Need 3AG, Slo-Blo, 250V, 1/4 or .25A fuses. (ie: http://www.alliedelec.com/littelfuse-0313-250mxp/70184149/) You may w...

Kimber Kable Select If you were to list them in AudioGon's classified section, at a reasonable price, I'm certain they'd sell.
Kimber Kable Select The Select line is Kimber's best. I've been using both their KS1130 and 1030 interconnects, for a few years now, with excellent results. Their Select speaker cables come as all copper, copper and silver or all silver Varistrand conductors. The...

Dedicated Line Advise BTW- It doesn’t matter which side of the breaker box a 220V breaker is mounted on. It’s still connected to both phases. Your Electrician will know what to do, regarding getting your audio breakers on the same phase. But- you might mention to him,...
Dedicated Line Advise I feel ya! I live in Indy. The heat from the eighteen tubes, plus the SS bottom end amp in my system, barely warm the listening room. Then again, I am the only one in my house. You might make everyone in your home dress warmer. You know- p...
Dedicated Line Advise Absolutely stay with the same phase for all audio outlets. Also- don’t run any of your 220V stuff whilst you’re listening. They are connected to both phases. Their current draw and the noise the motors generate will more than negate any benefits.
are magnepan mmg any good and intergrated amp suggestion for them Second on the , "bypass the fuse" suggestion(as long as you never clip your amp/exercise restraint). I’m using MMG’s for home theatre fronts and MG12’s, for mains, in my biamped system. Both bypassed(fuses and attenuation resistor connection), alo...
are magnepan mmg any good and intergrated amp suggestion for them As long as you intend to listen from only one position in the room, they’re great(kind of a personal-listening system). Not much output, below 50Hz. All caveats, mentioned by Mofi apply. The MG12/QR is another good, smaller Maggie, in the price r...

The Distortion of Sound My intention was NOT to address boombox or car stereo users, though(I'm certain) SOME AudiogoN denizens could probably satisfy their listening tastes with such. Those live music afficionados, that check the sites, may find information useful to ... |
