Was the Snell Secret a Wide Baffle?
I also have the Snell E's and J's. More conventional than the Type A's. Both, and the K's, were later pirated and built in England by Audio Note (and sold at exorbitant prices!).
What does the term "Speed" mean in a speaker?
Faster than a speeding bullet! Oops, that was Superman!
Was the Snell Secret a Wide Baffle?
I have a pair of the Snell AIII's - bought from the original owner. Still one of the best all-time speakers! That curved wide baffle was designed to allow equal power response off-axis. Peter Snell felt that off-axis response was an important fact...
Reference Quality Amp With Cheap Power Cable?
Nice to read for once an honest assessment of some power cords! Rather than the all-to-common hype and hyperbole!
what's a good fm tuner?
My favorite tuner (of the several on hand) is the Mitsubishi DA-F10. Measures well and sounds fine! Can only be found used - around $200. Alas, only two FM stations in my area worthy of listening to: WUSF 89.7 and WSMR 89.1/103.9. All the rest, co...

Who needs expensive new shoes when the streets are just mud!
How much are AR AR3's worth these days?
Jeez, $1K for a problematic pair of AR's!
Miracord 50 cartridge question(s)
I have a Miracord 50H. A good recommendation is a Denon 103/103R. The arm mass suits this mc cartridge well!
Why does my old CD player sound so much better than my new streamer?
"...changing to one of the new AQ power cables and a set of Isoacoustics footers." LOL!!!
Tonearm/Cartridge Combinations: What Do You Own (Or Have Owned) And Recommend?
Here's what I used years ago: GAS Sleeping Beauty (Coral 777) with a Lustre GST-1 arm on the Ariston RD11S TT. Into the Verion P SUT. I now have another Coral 777 mc and a Fidelity Research FR54 arm awaiting installation on another Ariston RD TT!
Bi-Wire Cable Question - Can They Be Used As Standard Speaker Cables Without A Problem?
Alternately you can connect the two "positive" leads together. Then the two "negative" leads together. This has the benefit of halving the resistance and leaving no loose leads. I would do this!
I am Looking for That Elusive 3 Dimensional Room Filling Soundstage
That room is awfully small! I myself would stick with headphones! However you want speakers! So, from my experience as an owner I can recommend a pair of Ohm Walsh's. I have the Sound Cylinders. They are capable of room-filling 3-D imaging - even ...
Silver Jews
I have one of their CDs. I will give it a listen!

How many amps do you own?
@pd3: Nothing succeeds like excess!
