Oh, crap. Today's events included a phone call to the dealer. I thought you gentlemen made a wise suggestion, so I was going to make an offer on his Spacedeck. Well, he was like, "Wow...you must have ESP, I just going to call you. Audiophile Systems called ...
Rega Mira and B&W N805s? I have not heard Rega electronics, but I know the 805s, like all B&Ws, like a bit of power.
Oh, crap. I would definately take the Spacedeck, if I could. The Spacedeck and Spacearm is quite a step up from mine ($2500 v. $1500), but he mentioned it as a HIS last resort. I believe he was sincere in his offer, but who knows were it would really wind u...
Oh, crap. Thank you very much, everyone. I faxed the letter tonight and also called to dispute the charge. The CC woman I talked to told me that it was a long shot if they could help me because it has been over 90 days. I thought of the small claims route, ...
Speakers for the party system I was impressed by JBL's Studio 38s. Musical and enjoyable. Not the best for sitting still between them, but with the good amount of bass, musicality of the mids, and non-glaring tweeter, I think they could do a party.
good silver IC's to audition? I have had success with Musicmetre.
best budget integrated amp for rock n roll music? The Mistral is a bad little man. A couple years ago I heard it with a CD12 driving a pair of $4500 Ruark 3-ways, and, man, great tone, very potent, and smooth. They never told me the price of it, but I would of died if they said, "$995". I bought ...
Simply Vinyl...why the bum rap? I concur :) 'Lost Highway' soudntrack sounds very good on Simply Vinyl.
Best speakers for my system/taste/budget? I heard the S38 the other day and was impressed. I have not liked JBL's past speakers, but the S38s are well balanced, pleasant sounding speakers with good bandwidth. I do not know how well they soundstage as they were placed in the top corner of ...
Rega P3 / Music Hall MMF 5 or 7 Turntable decision I would really try to get a used Rega 25 too. It craps all over the P3, a table which, in my opinion, is a step down from your cd rig. I have not heard any Music Hall players.
Sound Absorbing Material Two more are fiberglass and Sonex. audioadvisor carries sonex. You can use fiberglass to build your own.
Do I really need a pre-amp? If your cdp is good enough and matches your amp, look in to a passive volume control or a passive pre.
Integrated to go with Merlin monitors Yeah...talk to Bobby about the Rogue Tempest.
Best amp for B&W Nautilus 804? Looking for advice. I should have stated in my above post that I have not actually heard tubes with the 804s, I am just putting two & two together, so to speak. I am stepping out on a taboo ledge here, basing these recs on what some people I respect have noted. I...
Best amp for B&W Nautilus 804? Looking for advice. I do not like Krell, especially with B&W's tonal qualities, especially if you are looking for a real, live sound. The CA-300 will do very well, but I would urge you to go balls out and look in to tube preamps and amps. Tubes better match your ... |
