I would never sacrifice detail and openness for warmth. I think the very nature of high fidelity demands we extract as much detail as possible. If the system is balanced and tuned, the warmth should be present by default. Harshness and distortion ...
What separate tube phono stage do you use ?
@br3098 That would be awesome. Croft tends to use good but not great parts. IN4007s and RIFA caps. Due to the microscopic point- to-point handwiring, it’s not too easy to upgrade parts. And I have been there - replaced all the resistors in a Micro...
The urge to tinker is awash. What TT might better mine and why?
Belts are elastic. Stylus drag is real. ;-)
Tubes
Have a look here.https://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_ef95.htmlThere are black plate CV850 Mullards on eBay which look good.

Sure thing on speaker position. I was thinking of moving the rug! Fair enough if they are spiked through. I wasn’t sure.I enjoy Tidal streaming too but find, in many cases, my vinyl rig is more enjoyable especially with my collection of analog rec...

@dmix I believe the OP has the GN power supply.@uberwaltz Why not try moving your speakers onto the tile for better rigidity?

Seems like there are mixed reviews on your table. If I was starting from scratch, I would look at a 301/401 with new massive bearing and heavy platter in the right plinth with a top notch arm. I don’t know your budget but as a starting example of ...

@fjn I should also note that your preference for warm (i.e. colored) sound indicated by preferring the JJs may mean you will be happy with less ultimate detail. I’m not sure. I know that when I changed my JJs out for Telefunkens, it was like I’d c...

I have read good things about the Audionote/Goldring IQ3. For me, it's all about speed and detail and that is where the London(Decca)/Croft shines. Nothing you do in the chain afterwards can make that back. I've avoided adding another stage of gai...

@br3098 Any chance of a photo(s) of the interior of your PAB Croft. I spoke to Pear Audio about these units and apart from a wood facia, the weren't very forthcoming on internal ungrades. Seem they are asking a lot more than Croft does. Curious to...

Croft 25R (with Grant Fidelity/Shuguang 12AX7LS black tubes.) Minimalist MM only.
What tonearm will better mine?
@tzh21y As I said above, the 850 is a massive improvement on the 750. If interested, George Merrill has the best price.
Phono Preamp for Thorens TD203 w/ Ortofon 2m Blue
Of course. Frugality in audio is wise. Let's know how the Mani works out. Try buy it on trial if possible. And let the Blue wear in.

MM. Or a London Decca SG. IIRC, this is your second system and you’ve been on the fence a while on this. For the standard Croft Integrated, I’d stick with the following:1. Your upgraded BB tubes if you are happy with them. 2. A new power cable.3. ...
