Are your speakers designed for your listening taste and hearing ability?
Swapped out silk domes in my Monitor Audio 352s in the 80s. Did not like the new treble. Fatiguing. I swapped them back out and stuck them in my car. Only to blow my eardrums with them listening to The The with the windows up.
Roger Waters-Amused to Death
+1 EC on HH. And the ripple of thunder.
Perfect Path Total Contact Inside a Power Conditioner a good thing?
Not close enough. The OP used the "magical" word. The impenetrable technology seems to be sufficiently advanced for no one to question it.
Home Theater Done Right: Millercarbon's System
@millercarbon Good info on the transformer. I may try one someday. Have you tried it since without it?
Home Theater Done Right: Millercarbon's System
@millercarbon Tell that to PWB. He's the one who used the same tune. Although so do I for VTA. Otherwise, it's always over an evening. Unless, it's patently crap.

Onkyo Receiver TX 2500 or Sony TA F444ES Integrated Amp
If the both sound "equally good", why does it matter what we think? And if you don't need radio, why add all that additional circuitry for no reason. Less is more.
Comparing systems through phone recordings
As far as the Geoff Kait zone goes, there's seemingly a bit of it in many folks. Know thyself.
Comparing systems through phone recordings
I had a bunch of recordings on YouTube from my then Samsung S4. I added more of my upgraded kit from my S7. One day I listened in dismay to the vids on the channel. The older recordings were way better. Clear, clean, uncolored. Had I taken a backw...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
@slaw What big game?
Smooth sounding integrated <$1k
Unless you need radio, forget any receivers.
Curious about the difference in what I’d hear on different tonearms
@bdp24 Got it. I'm betraying my age!@tochsii See my post above for note on what to expect with better arm.
