Why do you give bad advice? Yes, easier to provide solid response to a well defined question. That said, I believe it easier to respond to a poor question than to produce a well defined one. Must admit that I have on occasion overlooked something in an OP, leading to an unn...
HESITANT with NEW member sellers +1 cooper52. I also ask a 'new' seller to call me. A brief discussion helps.
Bookshelf speakers on a budget +1 Paraneer. I believe all previous recommendations to be sound (no pun, well maybe). Mating speaker with amp is paramount to getting top value from both units. Value of a speaker is highly subjective. There are many good possibilities in your pr...
Best combo Stevecham, I like the rename. Maybe also add budget constraint.
Integrated for Vandersteen 2ce sigII +1 adg101. Purchase the Vandys and give the 8004 a try. You can always upgrade later. I do agree that the Rouge integrated is nice. Both have a phonostage. Is this a requirement?
Advice on what preamp to select. A used Audible illusions 3a would fit your needs nicely. It has 1600ohms output impedance however. What is input impedance of your monos?
CD players that make for a great transport If were in my budget I would audition a Neo 260 transport version. I read the review in TAS and like the build quality of those Simaudio products i have seen and listened to.
Best combo I do believe the tube pre/class D SS amp combo to be a great approach. Too many permutations possible across budget range to declare one as 'best'. Also 'best' is system and personal preference dependent.

CD players that make for a great transport As a followup, to avoid the redundancy I wish to defer to Cooper52s' thread. Thanks all for your responses.
Considering buying a CD transport Cooper52, I initiated a thread with the intent on focus toward CD players that make for good transport. Now thinking it to be overly redundant with this thread. I wish to defer to yours and will say so in my thread.I would think that the Cambridge...
CD players that make for a great transport Adg101, I believe that the Cambridge CXC would likely be a good choice for someone with a quality DAC and with the stated budgetTo all, I recognize that this thread is somewhat redundant with a previous one posted by Cooper52. With my thread I was...
CD players that make for a great transport adg101- I use a Bryston BDA-1 with Audiophilleo 2 w/Purepower for computer playback and Adcom DV-137 for CD and DVD spinning.
