Forgot Chet Atkins and Jim Reeves.
Oh, the frustrations of the speaker search
Tls, there are many ways to go within the general guidelines. The devil is always in the details. I was recommending OHM Ls specifically at first which use a larger 8" driver and are moderately efficient and can be had refurbed for half the cost o...

YEs, high efficiency speakers will go louder with less power, but you also have to figure in the bass extension. Generally, smaller speakers that go lower with less drop-off and at higher volumes to boot without breakup or distortion require a lot...
Why does most new music suck?
I think I would levitate that way even more for Candice Night if I could.
Why does most new music suck?
There might even still be a "hippie" or two around that thinks the only good music out there is still classic rock from the 1960s and 1970s, just like there are still some out there today that levitate towards music from the middle ages, like Ritc...
Why does most new music suck?
Oh, well that's very different! I'm sure some will still be drinking some of today's bottles in 300 years, but there will hopefully be way more to chose from by then than now.

Always come back most often to The Moody Blues, The Beatles, Johnny Cash and Genesis. Elton John and Billy Joel and other classic rockers in their prime to a lesser extent.
Oh, the frustrations of the speaker search
"From my experience, hifi is about loudspeakers and their environment. The rest is pretty much incidental."Well, the rest can certainly matter, but not as much as getting a handle on room acoustics which includes getting the right speakers set up ...
Bass leaves after amp warms up?
...but gotta wonder what the original MF amp would sound like now.....
Bass leaves after amp warms up?
Well, suffice it to say that any biwiring complicates things with more ways to get it wrong than right and results would not be good.
Bass leaves after amp warms up?
I'm still wondering, if the issue was a simple out of phase speaker connection or worse due to attempt to bi-wire the speakers from a single source amp incorrectly and that actually caused more deterioration over time? I'm suspecting the latter wo...
