Equi=Core 1000
I have an Equi=Core 1000. I got it because I'd gotten a tube headphone amp that had an unlistenably-bad noise floor through my previous power strip. I got the Equi=Core as that's what the amp-maker said he uses. It improved the noise floor ever so...
Personality Type?
@steveindy - check out a live Blondie show. Clem Burke is generally in the middle towards the front, with spotlights on him as well as Debbie. Clem is a superb drummer who is a lot of fun to watch....
Bragging rights.....

Roger Waters and Graham Nash on The Band.
@bdp24 - Roger had a lot of love for John Prine and his music - they actually got to be friends while John was still here - so he likes a lot of music that is nothing like his own....
My Lifelong Quest to Make my Expensive Rig Sound as Good as $500 Headphones
I have both a headphone system and a 2-channel system and enjoy both of them immensely.
The Mars Volta presented the first album in 10 years "The Mars Volta"
Maybe I'll like this one. They always do interesting music - I tried to get into their earlier stuff but the songwriting just didn't do it for me...
are we also coffee connoisseurs? Or wine enthusiasts?
Cannabis enthusiast here! Never liked the taste of coffee and am not drinking alcohol these days, 'cause beers I like (British cask-conditioned real ales) are too hard to come by....
The Risks of Buying Demo Gear
I buy store demos whenever possible, and I only had a problem once, when a pair of headphones looked a lot more like 'very used' than a 'store demo', but I contacted the dealer and said this should be selling as 'used', not 'demo', and I sent them...
What are/were the best sounding cheap components you have ever had?
My KLH Model 5's, at $2000/pair when I got them, are the least expensive component in my system and the least expensive speakers I've bought in decades, but they sound great!
Audiogon infested with pop-up ads
I'm so used to seeing these everywhere that they don't bother me anymore...
Beatles Get Back documentary
@cd318 - thanks for that detailed explanation! All this time I  thought it was always Phil Spector, except for that 'Naked Let It Be'.... I just know I bought it when it came out, put it on, and went "EH?". It seemed like a whole album's worth of...
Beatles Get Back documentary
@cd318 - Didn't Phil Spector have something to do with this?
Beatles Get Back documentary
@bdp24 - I love the Beatles but I have the same reaction to the 'Let It Be' album, and I do not have it in my Beatles collection. I know a lot of people love it, and I'm glad they do, but I could live easily without hearing anything from it again...
Is symphonic music kind of like Phil Spector got hold of chamber music?
I think that's an amusing concept! 😄
Why don't we tire of music?
This would be a good threat for the 'Music' topic, as it's got nothing to do with 'analog' per se, and you're liable to get a good many responses there.
