Can you adjust the phase between subs and mains?
Originally, I used a Paradigm X-30, later the SMS-1, on my Servo-15. The advantage of the latter is the visual display that makes the tweaking easy.Kal
How can you not have multichannel system
The Tacet discs have mic/player arrangements all over the map. They are extremely inventive and the audio perspective can vary from track to track. Many are marvelous (the Scherzo from the Mendelssohn Octet), some are thrilling (the opening of the...
Can you help me select a pre/pro?
It depends on the BluRay authoring. You should be able to choose the HD audio track, even in 2.0. Many of the BRDs I have (mostly opera and ballet, I must admit) have a lossless 2channel PCM track. OTOH, one can convert the 5.1 HD tracks to 2.0/2....
What processor?
No. The Cary Cinema 11a will pull off the audio and output the video without further processing. Whether you need an external video processor (as provided with the Cinema 11v) will depend on your video needs. For example, I would not bother.Kal
Can you help me select a pre/pro?

Processor Help...Please
If you are really particular about your analog sources, you will want to use an analog preamp with an HT passthrough with any of the pre/pros so far suggested. That is the only way to retain analog purity while having access to the latest, necessa...
Integra processors good?
As far as features and to get you into a pre/pro, they are ok but the 2 channel sound(and thus HT sound) is very lean according to some. That is the tradeoff for all the video features. It just doesn't sound good, imo, as a preamp.
I...

How can you not have multichannel system
First off, you should note that I did not, in any way, criticize your listening preferences, just this particular attempt to justify them.Dreadhead wrote:Kr4, the only naive statement is yours. If this statement continues to pop up in every discus...
How can you not have multichannel system
I only have two ears, one for each speaker. It seems this silly and naive statement will pop up in every discussion of multichannel audio. Sigh.Kal
