Cornwall iv Hilde45, I really can’t say anything about the power amps. When I demoed the Cornwall IV it was using a MAC7200 oddly the same setup at two different shops. I don’t remember what the forte was using as I was really shopping the Cornwall/La Sca...
Cornwall iv Mofojo, yeah the measurements are ok on the forte, watch the video for good explanation. The general frequency slope is fine. You would have to play with toe to get the highs where you want them which can easily be done with horns. When I demo...
Subwoofer speed is in the room, not the box Good thread, I don’t have a lot to contribute that has not already been said. But I have been highpassing all my speakers with an active crossovers for about 10 years now. Every speakers has sounded better with a highpass of 60hz or higher. The im...
Cornwall iv I have not see detailed measurements of the Cornwall IV but here you can see the measurements of the Forte IV which might give you some insight. https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/loudspeakers/klipsch_forte_iv/
Volti does it again! Well sadly I think Volti’s website is not updated. $7,500 is the price of the Razz. Also the pictures under the Lucera link are pictures of the razz. In this video the paper on the table shows a prices of $11,750 for the Lucera.
Volti does it again! Tonywinga, I agree on your speaker tastes so that is high praise to include the Volti. I would like to hear them sometime.
Volti does it again! Hilde45. I have never heard the Volti but it might just come down to quality of parts. the mid horn is mad of wood where Klispch is made of thin plastic (even the La Scala). Klispch has stamped baskets and all in all just seem cheaply put togethe...

JBL 4367 = Sleep Denervation Troybn, Post your opinion once you get them. I thought they sounded good out of the box but feel like the bass improved with a bit of time on them. The highs above 10k seem to sound better on tweeter axis rather than above it so you might need...
Dd67000 crossover points? JBL talks about their drivers in their white papers. They are capable of covering this range. The 4” compression driver in the S9900 shows some non linear breakup above 10k but The 4” driver in the Everest is beryllium and probably addresses it. A...
Looking for Sub to pair with Dynaudio Confidence 20s Not JL audio, mine are always breaking…
Speakers for weird sized room..... Short wall setup? Try magnepans or other speakers with narrow dispersion. Magnepans cancel a good bit of the lateral dispersion and work well in narrow rooms.
Finally...subwoofer that's aesthetically pleasing! Just and FIY, the subs are passive. They had the 2000 watt Mac amps driving the sub section…
To Focal or not to Focal I have always been disappointed by “low end” focals. I have seen 1038be and 1028be used speakers go super cheap. I would personally look for a deal like that. They are really close in sound quality to the Sopra line. to be clear I like foca...
Can I turn my 2-way Bookshelf speakers 90°…? Yes you can without issue BUT the sweet spot will be pretty small if they normally have vertical drivers. At this website you can see horizontal vs vertical dispersion. https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/loudspeakers/sonus_faber_lumina_ii/ |
