Am I wasting money on the theory of Bi-amping? @katman apogee offered many models with active biamp capabilities.
What is the science behind audiophile fuses? @mapman you don't think many audiophiles don't take out the fuses and reseat them on occasion? I'm sure some have even put their old fuses back in to compare.
Dynamic Range - the golden key to music nirvana? @bjorn154 those two specs don't mean much, I bet the Levinson amp has better dynamics than a lot of equipment that measures better.
Re-wiring the listening room: Questions @britamerican I have 6 dedicated 20A circuits with 10awg wire, I'm only using 4 dedicated circuits at present, but there are no ground loops, and none of my equipment is using balanced connections.

Driver Tubes 6922 Then I guess all old tubes should be sold as used, because there is no way to tell.
Why Can't Modern Tube Manufacturers Make a Proper Tube? I'm testing out the durability of the Linlai 6sn7 tubes compared to my kenrad's, the kenrad's don't sound quite as good as the Linlai, but I'm still on the durability stage, the Linlai have only been on a year on 24/7 , the kenrad's were on 24/7 f...

Driver Tubes 6922 @tonydennison would you consider a tube as new if has been tested over the years hundreds of times, but never used in any equipment.

Driver Tubes 6922 Why would you spend the money for a Hickok tester just to test a tube for shorts, a much cheaper tester can do that. You should just buy tubes from Andy from vintage tube service, I've never heard any complaints about his tubes, but I have about ...
Driver Tubes 6922 I read about a test someone did on the web, that had several calibrated Hickok testers and got a different reading from ever one of them.
What is the science behind audiophile fuses? If fuses don't make any difference then why did most of the high end amp manufacturers stop using rail fuses, it's definitely not to save money. |
