Balanced/Differential tube preamplifier recommendation?
Does ARC follow the balanced standard, Ralph has said in the past that they don't follow the balanced standard.

@erik_squires  You must have purchased counterfeit Furutech locking bananas, I have seen no such problem with them.
Balanced/Differential tube preamplifier recommendation?
You do not need a differentially balanced preamp in order for it to integrate into your system, you just need balanced inputs and outputs.
Tube Testers? Are There Any New Ones To Consider?
Space tech Labs makes a few different tube testers, I think he has one model that will test the 120/150 and most of the preamp tubes.
Riddle me this....
How would you get absolute polarity if  some instruments were recorded in phase and some out of phase on the same song, I wouldn't doubt if this happens when recording at multiple recording studios.
Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Ruins the Song ‘Money’!
@grislybutter  They do have the longest charting album in history, so must be a lot of people like their music.

@curtdr  You didn't respond to the measurable difference. There is a measurable difference of lower capacitance when cable risers are used. I also don't convince myself that there is a positive difference just because I've spent money on somethin...
Leaving my amplifier on ok?
@bishop148  Electrolytic capacitors and relays definitely have a life expectancy, so there are components in audio equipment that need to be replaced.
Cable elevators
@curtdr  How is it a big scam if it cost nothing or next to nothing and there is an actual measurable difference?
Cable elevators
https://positive-feedback.com/audio-discourse/bunking-cable-lifters/   On positive feedback there is an article on bunking cable lifters, they actually measured a difference in capacitance with cable lifters in place.

I have reversed the polarity of my apogee duetta speakers because my preamp inverts phase, the voices are centrally located and the focus is just fine.
Is this describing a blown tube, or two blow tubes?
Tube testers don't use real world plate current under load, so the life test doesn't mean much.
Is this describing a blown tube, or two blow tubes?
@ghdprentice  I agree, even if you had a tube tester that was calibrated and working properly, they are of limited use especially for power tubes.
Is this describing a blown tube, or two blow tubes?
Tube testers are not very good for matching tubes, you may be able to weed out a shorted tube though.
Leaving my amplifier on ok?
I did have a carver receiver go up in flames, but it only lasted a split second, and unless there was a lot of paper and kindling on top of the receiver there was no chance of a fire.
